What goes together like peanut butter and jelly? Ice cream and pretzels? I like having something salty when I eat something sweet. I also love my salted caramel lattes, which I know make certain people groan! Here’s your chance, what combination goes together. Doesn’t need to be food! Friendship and Laughter go together for sure! Give it a whirl and comment below!
Scotch & Ginger
Baileys & Coffee
Fish & Chips
Tom & Jerry
Torvill & Dean
Wilson & McCall
Simon & Garfunkel
Bacon & Eggs

Good list! The Fish and Chips reminds me of a fish and chips restaurant we used to go too when I was little. It was always so good!
Tom and Jerry are Classic! 🙂

Do you put ketchup on your eggs? That goes together well too.

So are you saying that doesn’t sound good to you? 🙂 Ketchup on scrambled eggs adds flavor!
LikeLike
Yup …….. so would any number of chemicals but that doesn’t mean I want to eat it! Scrambled eggs have a flavour all of their own, why would you want to mask the taste with a load of salt and sugar?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t always do it and I don’t have scrambled eggs that much, but….ketchup does have tomatoes in it and they are healthy. 🙂

Yes … and beer and wine are predominantly water, but that doesn’t mean you should chug it back! i.e. read the ingredients on everything and watch the % /weight/volume numbers. Also keep in mind that glucose, fructose, sucrose are all devious ways of declaring “No Sugar Added” .. when they are just sugar substitutes, and not healthy ones at that. Also remember that sodium is the same as salt!

Health class 101!
Trust me, I don’t chug! 🙂
Yes, they do have all kinds of names for sugar!

If you cannot pronounce an ingredient, or if it ends in “ose” …….. then you would be well advised to avoid it wherever possible. They know that sugar and salt are not good for you, and they have not determined the cause of cancer yet, but is suspected to be something in the food chain. All we can do is use common sense and discretion when we put stuff in our mouths.

Ice cream and pretzels? I think I see the problem.

It is aggravated assault on taste buds

Says the one who drinks black coffee, now that is an assault on taste buds! You say that i like things too sweet, so see, the salt from the pretzels cuts the sweetness! Perfect solution!

So does ice cream and french fries sound better? For if not at home I have done that. Are your taste buds tingling now? LOL!

Hot sauce and something meaty

My husband would agree with that. He loves hot sauces! I feel sorry for your taste buds and the burning sensation they get!
LikeLiked by 1 person
That burning sensation is the feeling of your taste buds working. Extreme sweetness puts them into a coma like state.

Oook, so I may not be able to argue with that…LOL!

As far as going together, I was just told that my bright yellow Hawaiian shirt doesn’t go with my brown and red plaid shorts. Hmmm…. I think I look good.

I’ve noticed that this time of year, walking also exercises the sweat glands.
Beds and naps go together.

Haha! You walk in the evening or early morning. 🙂
Couches and naps go together too.

You’re right. In the early morning it’s only in the 80s. In the evenings it’s dropped to the low 90s. Much cooler.
Couches are lumpy and full of dog hairs. However, you can sometimes find spare change between the cushions, so that’s a plus.

Wait, you have dashhounds, don’t you? I didn’t think that they shedded hair.

Oh, they shed hair. Maybe not as bad as some dogs, but they still shed hair. We also have a chihuahua and a cat.

A long haired chihuahua? My niece used to have one. A cat too? Now I understand about the hair. But we love our fur babies, hair and all. 🙂

Short-haired chihuahua. But she still sheds like a sheep at a shearing. We love our fur babies, too. But the less fur babies we have, the more we seem to love them.

The really hard pretzels, right? The real big ones that almost make you chip a tooth? Every Sunday night my Dad would get those pretzels out. Our relatives out West always wanted us to bring them pretzels out since they couldn’t get that kind out there.
Yes, nothing goes together like peanut butter and chocolate!
Sun and surf definitely!
Reading and beach go together too, which you can do when retiring at your beach house. 🙂
