The Dance

I am tired of this dance, don’t want to be on the floor.                                                                                                                      Tired of the dance between FEAR and HOPE!                                                                                                                                Fear takes the lead more then I like, but HOPE is close by its side and is how I cope!

The music can be so frightening and almost makes you freeze in your spot, afraid to take a step.                                                 The eerie music plays and you wonder how you can go on.                                                                                         About that time, is when HOPE decides that FEAR is a very bad partner!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The music picks up its tempo and HOPE takes the lead.                                                                                                                 With HOPE in the lead a new partner comes out on the floor.                                                                                                          COURAGE is its name! It dances with HOPE amidst FEAR still lurking around the dance floor;                                                    trying to find a way to get back in.

Yes, I am tired of this dance, but with HOPE and COURAGE I will continue as long as the music plays.                                         I don’t have control of whether I dance or not, its a dance I gotta do.                                                                                              But I can choose my partner and FEAR, I don’t choose you!!!

Tuesday’s Thoughts!

Good Morning! Today I want to share some quotes from one of my very favorite fiction authors! She does life-changing fiction! And it really does change lives! Her stories are so inspirational and you feel they are real! Never had fiction books speak to me the way hers does. She is Karen Kingsbury and the Baxter Family Series is AWESOME! Now she is doing a Angels Walking series which is great to. Try a book of hers, you won’t be disappointed!

“The stars overhead had nothing on the sparkle in her eyes!”  ( When was a time that your eyes sparkled?)

“You have one chance to write the story of your life, Make it a BestSeller!” ( what would the title be if you wrote a actual book of your life?)

“A chance is a choice with wings!” (what do you want to take a chance on today?)

It may be winter, but you can decide your own weather today!” ( a nice outlook on those dreary, winter days!)

“It was time to paint the sky, time to frame the moment!” (I love that paint the sky line!)

“I’m glad I can talk to you about fictional characters as if they were real and have you still think I am sane” ( Her people really do come alive in her books and I will explain my tears to my hubby as I am reading. He is like, you are reading fiction right?? Well yeah….BUT! LOL!)

The real reason Cinderella had to be home by midnight…to finish a Karen Kingsbury book!” 🙂 🙂

Go enjoy your day and try to find some time today to read, even if its not a Karen Kingsbury book. There are many great books out there 🙂 Too many books, too little time!

The Tale of the Car and the Mud

The little car was making herself rust from her tears. She just didn’t understand, nothing made sense. She had had such big dreams, she  saw herself speeding down the raceway and taking the grand trophy!  Being ooohed and ahhed over by a girl who got her  as her first car. Someone that would polish her  every day, make her  shine. That she  would always have a sparkle to her  coat for her joy would always be overflowing! That is how things started at least. She was shiny and felt new and full of life. Felt full of promise of great things to come! But over time her  bright colors began to fade. If her  gas tank would have run on tears instead of gas, she  would have always been running over with gas. What had happened?? Her  bright lights went out and it was time for her  to sleep, but she  felt sleep wouldn’t come tonight.

As she thought back, she  remembered the  one time she was traveling down a dirt road that she had never been down before!.  Mud puddles were  splashing up and running down her.  You could see that her  eyes didn’t shine quite as bright.  Another car came driving down beside her  and was honking at her  to stop tho she  knew not why. She  stopped and they looked at each other and she  noticed it. She had mud in her eyes too! They both helped wash the mud out of each others eyes and they became connected. Sometimes she would be the one on the muddy road and sometimes it would be her, but they were dedicated to helping to keep each other from having the mud take over!

Now once again she was on a dirt road that she had never traveled before, and she was scared as the mud puddles kept splashing up hitting her again. And once again her friend was there! Not only her friend that had been there long ago, but other ones she had made along the way too! Others who had traversed down the bumpy and muddy roads with her.  At that thought she had to smile, for as she thought of the ones she held so dear and knew she was blessed! They didn’t only share bumpy, mud splattered roads. They shared the smooth, happy roads to. The roads that made you feel like you were just cruising to the Bahamas. Maybe at this point it appeared that more rust than normal was showing and maybe there were more  cracks in her, but she wasn’t going to give up. She had  heard that the cracks is where the true light shines through and she wanted to keep that shine that mud can’t splatter away!

Monday’s Snapshot Memories!

Good Morning!! April Showers bring May Flowers! We have had enough showers, so I am looking forward to the May Flowers! Thought I would celebrate Spring with flowers of Europe. The first picture is from Lake Como in Italy. One of my favorite pictures. May not be flowers but  I love the trees and the colors of the bushes that match the villa! Next is a street in Paris, wouldn’t all streets look better if they were like this? The other pictures are the cherry blossoms in front of Notre Dame, a park in Paris  and  flowers on the hill leading to  the the famous Basillica.  Hope these added some color to your Monday morning and that you have a great day!GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

The Invisible Door

This was one of my very first pieces I blogged and felt the urge to post it again , hope you don’t mind and I know I have a lot of new readers now that I hope will enjoy it. Since I posted this I added to it in a story called The Search. It is in 5 parts. If you want to do a search for it, you are welcome to 🙂

Nuggets of Gold

White picket fences, beautiful flowers, and crystal clear windows.  The homes look beautiful from the outside, but one thing is missing from the inside.  The people can’t see the door, to them it is invisible.  Fear is what hides the door!

They can’t find their way out to inhale the aroma of the lovely flowers or hear the sweet music of the songbirds perched in the swaying green trees.  They can’t find their way to the deep blue ocean where the waves look like they go on forever.  Feel the peacefulness of the sound of the waves and the seagulls merged together.  The woods beckon them to come relax in their shade trees and stroll the paths strewn with wildflowers.  The doves line the path waiting to be held and stroked. They want to pass on peace to the holder.

Hope and joy is calling but unfortunately the ears are…

Motion, Photo challenge!

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Motion.”  Love to watch wonderful animals move. This world would be so boring without animals around to liven it up with their motion 🙂 and antics and just being themselves. They are fascinating!

And are you ever to old for BatMan? My niece is a beautiful young woman who may not be the true BatMan, but she is a Superhero to those who love her! My girls adore her!Cell 0926Cell 1769

The Power of the Sun

The sun peeked through the clouds shining brightly and the clouds were mad. They wanted to keep the sun hidden. They had tried their best. Made storms come. Some just a lot of rain, but some were major thunder and lightning, and they even sent hurricanes and tornadoes at times. No matter what mess they created, the sun insisted on showing its face again! It almost seemed that the stronger the storm, the stronger the sun would burst through. Was there anything that could stop it? They were beginning to think not. Thinking that nothing could keep the sun hidden. Could it be? Could it be that the sun was more powerful than the clouds. That light can overcome the darkness?

Bethany the Bunny was trembling with fright as she ran to her burrow, trying to escape the loud thunder and crackling lightning. Safe in her burrow she turned to her Mommy and said, “I am so afraid!” . Her Mommy took her in her arms and said, ” Don’t fear little one, this storm will pass and the sun will come out again.” As her trembling started to calm down she stammered, “But, but, h-h-how do you know the storm will pass. It’s so dark and the thunder so loud.”  Mommy snuggled her closer and said, “I know because I believe in the Sun. I believe in its power to break through even the worst storm. ”  “See my sweet Bethany, the sun really is always there. The clouds can make it hard to see, but it doesn’t mean the sun has left. ”  That thought soothed Bethany and she soon fell asleep to the now gentle sound of the pitter patter of the rain.

The next morning Bethany stretched and rubbed her eyes. What was that noise? It was silence, that’s what it was! The rain was falling no longer or the thunder rolling. She hopped quickly out of her burrow and saw her Mommy sitting in the grass and looking at the sky. She ran over to her and started to ask what she was looking at, when she noticed it herself. WOW! What a sight! It was beautiful! So many different colors! “Mommy, what is that?” Her Mom turned a bright smile towards her, as she said, “That my precious Bethany is a rainbow, the promise that the SUN will always shine again!”

Tuesday’s Thoughts!

Hope this day is starting out well for you! Here is some help in a smile coming to your face and having a good day! Enjoy reading thoughts from J.R.R. Tolkien. How many have read the Lord of the Rings series? Whenever I think of the :My precious, My precious..” saying I still smile and who can’t like Bilbo 🙂

“It is useless to meet revenge with revenge. It will heal nothing.” (not unless we are talking about jokes, LOL!)

“Even the smallest person can change the course of the future!” ( so maybe I was biased about this saying 🙂 tho I am not quite as small as a Hobbit 🙂 )

” All that is gold does not glitter and Not all who wander are lost!” (So true!)

” I wish the ring had never came to me. So do all who have carried the burden, but that is not for us to decide. All there is to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you!”

So go and make good use of your time today! Have a fabulous day!! Thanks for reading! These thoughts were brought to you by someone who is still trying to wake up, but I am getting there 🙂

Monday’s Snapshot Memories!

LA-11 LA-08 LA-10 LA-19 LA-13 LA-18 OH how time flies!! The ages of these adorable kids are now my youngest at 13, their friend who is 15, and my oldest now 16! These pictures were inspired by this morning’s conversation with the girls. They started talking about when they were little and the fun they had with their friends. I am so glad that they remember the little things that we did and that they had such fun with it. It’s not all about the BIG things. Most of my girls fond memories of are camping out  in living room, jumping from chair to chair like monkeys, marching to music and starting their own band. The list goes on! Thank God for the memories!
