Not quite as full of youth, but still hearts full of love and dreams!
Over the years we have accepted each other’s differences. He is not a coffee or tea drinker and I am not a morning person! He loves just about every vegetable there is and I love beef, chicken, seafood, and desserts. We do both love chocolate, though I may eat a tad more than he does.
He is very organized and I am ….. Not! He is whiz at numbers, they make my brain hurt! He likes his music a little louder and rockier, but there is a lot of music we agree on as well.
The list could go on and on about differences and similarities. What is important though is that we both still agree on our commitment to each other and on looking forward to what the next 25 years bring!
Aww, so sweet. Congrats and best wishes for the next 25! Happy anniversary.

Happy Anniversary to you two! 25 years is a long time to go without a stabbing, so you guys have really accomplished something. I hope you have at least 25 more.

LOL!.Yes, no stabbings, not even with plastic knives!
Thanks Tippy. 🙂

Plastic knives are most convenient, since they’re so disposable.

I will keep that in mind. Too bad you can’t use plastic knives to cut things, for there may have been no stabbings in our marriage BUT I have stabbed myself before with knives. Thats why cooking is dangerous!

You know, you have a point there. As I type, I’m watching Forensic Files on HLN. Twenty five years and no violence…that’s love. LOL!

We watch that show. 🙂

I tell Ken that all the time. He says the same to me. He jokes that I’m going to successfully poison him with organic food (30+ years as a cop brought on a junk food habit). I continue to tell him that I would never poison him. That’s way too much trouble. If he pisses me off that badly, I will just shoot him…with one of his many weapons. 😆
We’ve been together for nearly a decade and have known each other since 1992. There’s been plenty of time for violence and none has occurred. We bark but, we never bite.

Maybe Ken needs one of those smart guns, that only fire when he’s the one holding it.
But that’s great you’ve never had violence. Same here. We may have thought a few violent things a few times, but we’ve always managed to settle things with words.

True. Sometimes things are best left unsaid.

Conflict resolution requires some integrity on the parts of the individuals. Ken is hard headed but, he is a good man. I am also quite stubborn so, there can be sparks. We are, ultimately, good natured people…with personal habits.

It’s great you’re able to iron out your differences, and get past those personal habits.

Most of the time, we tease each other about said habits. The teasing eases off steam. We know each other well and TRY to keep from pushing buttons.

Very best wishes to you both!

Thanks! I don’t believe I will ever make him a coffee drinker. 🙂 He likes Hot Cocoa though!

My wife wants me to tell you that she thinks she has a lot in common with you. She’s not a morning person, either. And she likes coffee, and good coffee, not the cheap stuff. So she’s high-maintenance, like you, when it comes to coffee.
If you guys ever do come out here, there is a street fair in nearby Palm Springs that my wife says she’ll take you to, if you’re interested. The people of Palm Springs are a little out-of-the-mainstream, so you might find it entertaining.

LOL! We aren’t high maintence, we just like good coffee! I would love to meet her and that street fair sounds cool! We like the out-of- the- ordinary things. 🙂

I would be #3. I’ve never been a morning person, staggering thru my working life, yawning. And, cheap coffee is nasty…just sayin’.

I am very tall I know, that takes people by surprise every time! 😄
How we met is like a Hallmark movie. My friend from Pa. fell in love with a guy in Indiana, while she was in Indiana for college. After college they married and she wanted me to be a bridesmaid. Brad was one of the groomsmen. I flew to Indiana for the wedding, the weekend of New Year’s. Met Brad at the rehearsal dinner and …….. we were married the following December. 🙂
