Totally lovely! She had made it to the perfect spot. She couldn’t wait for this day and it was finally here. She would finally follow in her Great- Great Grandfather’s footsteps.
Growing up she had heard the many stories of his heroic adventures. When the lights would go out she would dream of going on adventures someday and making a name for herself, just like her Grandfather. Her Grandfather had surprised everyone when he started flying instead of sinking!
He had become famous!
Well was she going to sit here all day and just stare at the water or was she going to get up her courage and go in! She could do this. This was her chance.
People from a distance away were beginning to look at her. She knew they were wondering what she was doing on the beach. They were looking for the driver. Some were walking closer trying to peer in. She was glad she had their attention , for people needed to see her when attempting something courageous. If no one saw her great feat, how would she be famous. Who would write and sing about her?
Yes, she had their full attention, a small group had gathered now. They all had come out of the water. They wondered how a car without a driver got on the beach. Now was the time to show them that she wasn’t just an ordinary car!
Breathing a small prayer, she took off into the water with her Grandfather’s song going through her head.
A Ford??? Seriously??? Hah! A Honda or a Mitsubishi, even a Saturn or a Pontiac, but a Ford??? Oh, Chitty Chitty must be turning in his grave and moaning in despair! 🤣 Thanks for the fun post, dear friend!!!

LOL! Hey, Fords can be magical too! Its a pretty shade of blue! 😊 Actually, my Pontiac Colt Vista was my favorite vehicle.
You are always welcome. It was a spur of the moment post before going car shopping!

Are you going to ask the salesperson if the car can fly?

Do you think I might get a good deal if I asked that?

Now what have you got against orange? Just think … you could look like the Dukes of Hazard’s “General Lee”! (Just joking!)

Oh oh oh!!! That reminds me of a funny as heck story!!! I tried that once, back in the day. I was old enough to know better, had my kids with me, but there was this really cool guy sitting in the car next to mine. My window was down, so after putting the kids in the back seat, I thought I’d be cool, impress the guy, and hop in through the window (I was younger and more agile back then). Needless to say, I landed flat on my ass on the pavement and looked up to see the cool guy laughing uncontrollably. Talk about red-faced! 😳

LOLOL!!😂😂😂 Oh Jill!! So I wonder how many people he told about the woman who tried to jump through the window! 😄

Heyyy…..I would make his day more exciting asking for a car that can fly!
Last night there were no salemen around when we were looking At the 2nd place we went too I spied a blue vehicle and went right to it. I was dreaming as I peered through the windows at the nice interior. Then I hear my husband calling me to come look at what he found. The vehicle was silver! Yes, I think arrows shot from my eyes as he was doubled over laughing when I yelled that I wasn’t going to look at it and walked the other way.
Men!😜

I think the sales people saw you coming, talking to cars and stray animals. “There she is again! Let’s hide.” they said to each other.

Could this vehicle be your favorite color and new set of wheels? 🚙

It is the color that I would like, we will see if I get lucky enough to have that color! 🙂

At first, I thought the blue car = your new car.
Have fun flying down the highway in your new motor car!

Is that a Ford Escape? Back in my bank robbery days, I bought a Ford Escape, hoping it would live up to its name. Big mistake. I should have bought a Lamborghini.

That shows that you had a very cavalier attitude on your bank robbing expedition. Doesn’t sound like bank robbing was quite your forte. Sounds like you needed a navigator to escort you on this odyssey or at least some sort of pathfinder. I’m surprised you didn’t end up in the tundra up in Yukon.

After my mishap with the Ford, I partnered up with an old bank robber, who was more experienced than me. He was a Chevy man. We began robbing banks all up and down California’s El Camino Real highway, and we even hit Bel Air and Malibu. I was proud to call ’em “pal,” uh, because he was a vet to the core. But he finally went out in a Blazer of bullets. My last robbery was at a bank on an Indian reservation, when out came arrows. I got away, and spent the next few years hiding out in Monte Carlo.

Haha! Sorry still not interested, may have more trouble feeling inspired to write due to my “wonderful” surroundings. So you can rob the bank and send me the money, how about that?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, you have to rob your own bank. That’s called self-responsibility. So I suggest buying an expensive, but real fast car. You can rob a bank to pay for it.

I will make that suggestion to my husband. 🙂

I was being nice with the word clever. But there are a ton of vehicles that you didn’t name so yeah clever may be pushing it. LOL!

A ton of vehicles is about half a modern vehicle.

Laughing at that first comment! When I reached driving age and got my license, I really wanted a Lamborghini… or at least a Corvette like my older sister. Ended up with the family Pinto station wagon. Didn’t fly. Didn’t even start all of the time. 😉
