What is the one non-necessity item that you will always want one more of ? The one thing that you will keep buying. Mine is books, and actually it may be a necessity item, for books help keep me sane.
One can talk about the sweetness of a berry … but one truly doesn’t know, until they take a bite. A head full of knowledge is good, but a heart full of experiences is what life is all about!
When you need a smile, look up Holderness family videos on YouTube! They are a fun couple to watch. I hope you enjoy this one! Happy Friday to everyone. Have a Great Day!

I thought puns kept you sane.
If you eat the wrong kind of berry, you might find yourself in a berry bad situation, and then someone might have to berry you.
Puns are the one thing I always need more of.

Puns keep me on the brink of insanity! LOL!
🤦♀️🤦♀️!!
I know someone who would agree with you, and I don’t see the fountain of Pun knowledge that you both have, ever running dry!

I agree. I doubt that our fountain puns will ever run dry, although they may skip from time-to-time.

I have seen videos of the Holderness family on my Facebook feed from time to time. They are always fun to watch and they are always G rated.
Non-necessity item? Is there really such a thing, at least in the tangible world? What might be considered a necessity in one person’s life might not be a necessity in another persons life.
and who decided that books are a non-necessity?

Yes, they are always clean videos. 😊
Yes, necessities are different with everyone. But I was going for some item that we simply love and thats why we keep buying it. It may not sustain us physically, but as far as mental sanity yes, books are a necessity. 😊 For my husband, it would be music.

Ice cream (although technically I think it is a necessity). Back when I was allowed in the grocery store, I always took bites out of the berries to test for sweetness. I won’t be commenting for a few days while I go down Holderness rabbit hole.

They have your photos posted at the grocery store now, don’t they!
Haha! It is a deep rabbit hole. 😂

I have, on occasion, traded money in the food budget for books. 😀

Camera lenses.

I was pretty confident that’s what you would say. We all need something that brings us joy and helps to keep us sane. Plus, your indulgence in camera equipment benefits the rest of us as well! 😊

I have only purchased one lens this year and it was a manufacturer refurb, so I am keeping things reasonable.

Understand. Yes, I am sure your hobby can unfortunately get really expensive.
Though books aren’t nearly as expensive, I do try to keep it reasonable, too. Wouldn’t want to be “high-maintence.”

It’s a good thing that my books are a lot cheaper since, unlike you and your camera lens, I can’t say that I only bought one this year. LOL! That would just be crazy.

My non-necessity are craft/art supplies. I’ve finally gotten over buying loads of books and instead check them out at the library. Thank heavens, I was buying books 3-4 times a week when I worked downtown just a few blocks from a Barnes & Noble. Now if I just didn’t need 27 shades of blue watercolor pens. LOL

Ooh, that would be hard working so close to a bookstore! Libraries are wonderful, too!
27 shades of blue. 😂😂

That book store along with the best independent bookstore in the country at the opposite end of downtown got me through some crazy work days. A good walk to each, a wander around the stacks and I could face the craziness back in the office. Those were the days.

Can definitely understand them helping you to keep your sanity! With your job I would say they were a necessity! 😊

The one non-necessity I would like to buy more of is ice cream, but we don’t keep it in the house because I’m addicted. Like you, I buy an awful lot of books. I’ve got tons of printed copies and several hundred on my Kindle.

Understand , not having it eases the temptation. my Dad loves his ice cream, too! But he does keep it around. The grandkids always got a kick out of knowing they could always get ice cream at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
Ahh! Another bookworm. i prefer holding a real book in my hand, but I do love my Kindle! It helps save me money. I would have a lot more printed books if not for the Kindle.

A prerequisite for English teachers. 📚 I do purchase a lot less than I used to, with the exception of blogger books. 😊

Fun video. Cute couple. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t think of anything I buy that we don’t “need,” except for (maybe) a few food items. I don’t buy many books these days. Instead I borrow them. Same with DVD’s.
We always have chocolate in the house. And ice cream. And tortilla chips and Fritos. And CHEESE! Because . . . NACHOS!
But everything else we eat is healthy. So it’s all good!

You are very welcome! They are fun to watch.
Chocolate and nachos and queso, and ice cream, sounds like you have the necessities! 😋
