The cold wind may be blowing outside … but hot tea … and a favorite movie … makes it cozy … at work.
When your kids are home at the same time and you play cards at midnight … have to grab onto the times when they come…
“Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kitttens…” What are some of your favorite things? Feel free to share in the comments.
Cheesecake and cheesecake…………. followed by marshmallows on cheesecake.

A good book and plenty of time to read it! Hugs. A warm spring day when we can open the windows and smell the fresh air. The delightful sound of a child’s giggle. Tacos. A glass of wine at the end of a long day. Friends.

What movie were you watching with your tea?
I was watching an old episode of Cheers the other day when they made fun of someone saying he would be sitting at home eating peanut butter out of a jar. “hey… that’s what I do.” I love eating peanut butter out of a jar with a spoon (of course). Who wants to waste time with putting it in a sandwich?

Sound of Music, its my favorite musical. Just was able to see half of it but thats ok. I know how it ends. 🙂
LOL about the peanut butter. Peanut butter is good and I really shouldn’t tell you how I eat peanut butter. It doesn’t help my “Sweetaholics case” but you made me hungry now.

You stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows.

Now that may not be a bad idea. I think you should try it. But no, I am not that bad.
The way to eat peanut butter is with a knife, spread it on a chocolate 🍫 bar. But in my defenseI I spread it on bananas at times too.

Maybe spread it on broccoli to be healthy

Oooh you just turned my stomach.
But I do eat broccoli. Raw with French Onion Dip is the best way.

That is one movie I haven’t seen. I am guessing that our movie tastes vary but Hallmark movies are not my favorite, LOL! They just are fun, feel good movies at Christmas. 🙂

Are your daughter’s seeing it with you? I am sure it will be good, though his voice won’t be exactly the same. He has a little age on him. But I have been surprised how well some older singers still sound.

I just got home. It was a great show. He sounded really good, it was sad when he played the Yellow Brick Road song because everyone knew that was it.

Glad to know it was worth waiting for!! Oh yes, I am sure thst was an emotional part of the show. I have to play it now that you brought it up. How is it that songs we grew up on have become classics. The musicians are growing older while we stay young.

It was his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. His final tour and he is done for good. So this is the last chance to see him perform. Though he has yet another show in Houston next November, so…

Soooo….you are getting tickets for next November? LOL!

No, I won’t tell you how much I spent on these tickets.
For some reason when he played Rocket Man last night, in the arena where the Houston Rockets basketball team plays, the crowd went especially wild.

Ooh I can imagine!! It was a very special birthday gift!
Haha! 😂 Were you one of the wild ones? Did you sing along?

I didn’t sing, for the sake of everyone else.

How thoughtful of you … you didn’t want to make them jealous, right? After all, they were probably already jealous of your hair.

You can’t get them to pay room and board that way. You have to learn poker, and then give them some lessons.

Chocolate (as a bar, in a brownie form, in ice-cream form, I’m open-minded 🙂 ). A friend sent me a meme that said “Day 12 without chocolate: I lost hearing in my left eye” 😀 Yes. Chocolate 🙂 (Oh, and singing “My Favorite Things”, too 🙂 )

I am open minded too when it comes to chocolate and yes, keep eating, don’t want to lose your hearing.
Ahh! Do you like The Sound of Music too?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I sure do! I even know that it was originally supposed to be called (wait for it…) Love Song (I kid you not), but there were so many other songs/acts named that, that they decided to choose something different, and then it was named The Sound of Music!

Wow! I never knew that. Interesting. Its just such a wonderful musical that I know by heart because of all the times I watched it. 🙂

A bowl of chicken soup at my desk seemed just right for lunch today. Even better that my husband was sitting across the room keeping me company. Because of the pandemic, he has been able to work from home for the first time in his career, and he has been much more relaxed for the past two years. 🙂

We play a lot of rummy, kings in the corner (4 kings), and cribbage. We only have one son, but since he lives more than 1,000 miles away, we don’t get to see him much. He got engaged over Thanksgiving, and I look forward to having a daughter-in-law and possibly some grandkids (no pressure 😂). We still have a bit of waiting because they aren’t getting married until June 2023.
