Friday’s Super Short Stories!

The cold wind may be blowing outside … but hot tea … and a favorite movie … makes it cozy … at work.

When your kids are home at the same time and you play cards at midnight … have to grab onto the times when they come…

Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kitttens…” What are some of your favorite things? Feel free to share in the comments.

  1. A good book and plenty of time to read it! Hugs. A warm spring day when we can open the windows and smell the fresh air. The delightful sound of a child’s giggle. Tacos. A glass of wine at the end of a long day. Friends.

  2. What movie were you watching with your tea?

I was watching an old episode of Cheers the other day when they made fun of someone saying he would be sitting at home eating peanut butter out of a jar. “hey… that’s what I do.” I love eating peanut butter out of a jar with a spoon (of course). Who wants to waste time with putting it in a sandwich?

  3. Chocolate (as a bar, in a brownie form, in ice-cream form, I’m open-minded 🙂 ). A friend sent me a meme that said “Day 12 without chocolate: I lost hearing in my left eye” 😀 Yes. Chocolate 🙂 (Oh, and singing “My Favorite Things”, too 🙂 )

  4. A bowl of chicken soup at my desk seemed just right for lunch today. Even better that my husband was sitting across the room keeping me company. Because of the pandemic, he has been able to work from home for the first time in his career, and he has been much more relaxed for the past two years. 🙂

    • Chicken soup is always good.
That is great about your husband. I love hearing positive things that hsve come out of the pandemic. I know working from home is something a lot of people have benefitted from.

      • We play a lot of rummy, kings in the corner (4 kings), and cribbage. We only have one son, but since he lives more than 1,000 miles away, we don’t get to see him much. He got engaged over Thanksgiving, and I look forward to having a daughter-in-law and possibly some grandkids (no pressure 😂). We still have a bit of waiting because they aren’t getting married until June 2023.
