Tuesday’s Thoughts!

Happy Tuesday! Listening to Blackmore’s Night, as I look for quotes. Always need some good music to listen to when I work on posts. Tuesday’s though are usually the only days I listen to music with lyrics. When writing stories I just like having relaxing instrumental music in the background. Do you listen to music when working on posts? If so, what kind?

I hope you can enjoy some good music while taking a few moments to relax and read the following quotes. As always, feel free to share which one or ones you liked the most. Have a wonderful day!

  1. I try to avoid listening to anything. I hate music, and the TV is full of morons. So I keep things quiet while writing.

I like #1 & 6 the best today. Having sat on cacti before, I know what it’s like. And it’s pretty brave to admit you’re hurting after doing something stupid like sitting on a cactus.

  2. If I am writing a post, then I cannot listen to music for it distracts me, pulls my thoughts this way and that. If I am re-blogging, doing a Jolly Monday post, or something else that doesn’t require much brain-power, then I can listen to music, but rarely do.

All good quotes, but #7 & #8 particularly hit their mark. Have a good rest-of-the-week, my friend. 😊

  3. As a retired teacher, I love #2. Children learn at their own pace. I also like #3 and #7. Does it mean that I watch too much television if I can still sing the opening to the Beverly Hillbillies? Some classic characters—Jed, Granny, Jethro, Ellie Mae, and Miss Hathaway just to name a few.

  4. Joy, a pearl of wisdom from Granny of the Beverly Hillbillies. Reminds me of my wife’s Aunt Mary. Her retort to my wife’s mother who was raving about the good looks of a young man they knew at one time was simple. “He looks like a poor pasture to lead your cows into.” Keith

  5. #7 & #8 ~ So many people give their own worst enemy an outpost in their head AND many others forget to stop and enjoy NOW.

People who lack common sense (i.e., the ones Granny is talking about) are guilty on both counts. 😆

  6. great way to close with Calvin & Hobbes – the best comic strip ever!

as for the first quote, isn’t a difficult journey more rewarding in the end, since you will appreciate the struggles you went through? Not sure if that means we should sit on a cactus or not…
