If you aren’t driving the horse, let go of the reins!
The light in a baby’s smile and the sound of their laughter, makes joy bubble up in the heart!
When your sister isn’t a magician … but she knows how to make the color gray disappear!

Babies are powerful. There’s something about holding one that really can bring joy to the heart. Except when that smell from the squishy diaper hits the nose.
Isn’t it nice to have a sister like yours? I have a sister who’s always cheerful and upbeat. Perhaps they really are magicians.

I didn’t have any sisters, but since I have been an adult there has been nothing by females in my life.

Yes, balancing, that’s what it is. I would use the term ‘confusing’ instead.

I got desperate, had such a bad headache and I needed coffee but there was NO MILK or CREAM! I grimaced as I drank black coffee, Yes., you should have sympathy for me! How do you do it? LOL!

I have sympathy that you cannot enjoy such a simple pleasure as black coffee.

Not the kind of sympathy I was looking for!

The female mindset can seem rather strange. Sometimes it’s like they’re from another planet.

Well my sister is a true magician. The color of my hair looks different from what it said on the box. LOL!

Oh, did she dye your hair?

Yes, she made my gray disappear!

Oh, and here I thought it was your gray mood that disappeared. But apparently, you did not get the color that the box promised?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I hadn’t even thought of that comparison but like yours my sister is great at that too! She has done that a lot!
Its darker than the box. Had to laugh at my husband’s face, but he is “well trained” he watched his words. LOL! He does like it, I just have to get used to it!

What color is it?

Its blue!
Just kidding!!
I wanted a darker shade of brown, nothing outrageous, just thought I would try it. Welll its dark! I would call it a light shade of black! LOL!

My wife is a retired beautician. She always used to complain about dye jobs. She hated to dye hair, because it’s messy work. Also, you have to be very careful or the color won’t come out right, as in your case.

I am not one to dye my hair all the time. I never dyed my hair until I got in my 40’s. Usually I have had good luck with the color, but yes that is a risk you take. I can understand your wife not liking to dye hair for I am sure some customers could get irate if they didn’t like the color! I just need to go out in the sun more now, for tbe sun usually lightens my hair some, or I may need to pay another visit to my sister and perhaps try again. 🙂

Yeah, you need to go to the beach. That’ll lighten your hair.
One time a customer brought a box of hair dye to my wife. My wife said that if she used this dye, it would turn her hair green. But the customer insisted. So my wife did the job, and it turned her hair a bright green. She had warned her, so she charged her for her work.

Yes, you are very right! I need to tell my husband that! 🙂
LOL! Good for your wife! Fortunately I have never had my hair turn any strange colors! My daughter though had her hair turn orange before! I had warned her too. She and her friend had bought the boxes, and yes, I may have laughed at her orange hair. 🙂 I am so “mean”

She did! She’s doing well with her horse ranch, even though she’s been a widow for about eight months now. And Covid has not hurt her business at all. She’s always been a cheerful, optimistic sort, which I admire about her. I’m not always so full of cheer.

That is great! Hope the grays stay away for awhile!
Glad Covid hasn’t hurt her business, does she give riding lessons?
Sounds like you are blessed to have her as a sister with her cheery attitude and I am sure she is blessed to have you as well! 🙂

I’m not sure she gives riding lessons. Mainly, she trains horses, but she does teach the horse owners what to do, and what to stop doing, when riding their horses.
I’m glad to have her as a sister. She has a lot of energy, and she taught me when I was a kid that one cannot nap all day. She taught me this by making me work until exhausted. Ever since, I’ve tried to effect a compromise between napping and work, and this is probably why I had a successful career.

So you have her to thank for your successful career. 🙂

Was she the one who had an abusive husband before? Really glad she was able to enjoy being married to a good guy!

Yes, in fact she had two abusive husbands before, plus one cold-shouldered, rather loveless husband. So it was a relief to all of us when she finally found a good one to marry.
