Nuggets of Gold 
The Irish (it has been said) think “sideways”! I think perhaps you would need lateral thinking to be able to understand these 7-word stories … except that Irish 7-word stories would have more or less than 7 words, which could present problems (or solutions), which is confusing (or not), but then that’s the Irish (or not), as they try (or not) to explain themselves (or others), to anybody who is listening, (plus those who are not). Happy Patrick’s Saint Day, or whatever it is or isn’t, and may the sun rise somewhere or other, and the wind always be at your back, and the Guinness tap never run dry! 🙂

Many Irish words look like anagrams! Even when they talk, they sometimes appear to be talking in anagrams which nobody (including the Irish) really understands, hence the creative and confusing conversations (again… thinking sideways!).

I am sure the conversations would be worth listening to! Even if incomprehensible, they would be fun by virtue of being confusing 😀
I have not had the fortune of seeking out the Irish culture. The only thing I know is that the country is known for its pristine beauty and lyrical prose. I have read Seamus Heaney, W.B. Yeats and J.M. Synger briefly. And coincidentally, I am reading a book set in Ireland, ‘Dublin Calling ‘.

Irish history is very interesting, especially with the current split between Eire and N. Ireland. It is also confusing because of their historical Protestant vs Catholic issues which somehow get mixed up with a desire for Irish Independence… and (for many) an Anti-English sentiment that goes back 100’s of years. They are a fascinating culture!
