Good Morning! I was outside this morning in our back yard reading and listening to the birds symphony. Every morning they provide music and I am always glad to listen. Nature’s music is a grand thing! I am continuing to listen to the singing of birds as I now type up this post while sitting at my desk. No, we don’t have birds, but there is always Youtube! I did have a parakeet once, a very sweet, pretty blue and white bird! May you get to appreciate some of nature’s music today, and as always I hope you enjoy the quotes too. Happy Tuesday! It is a beautiful, sunny day here. The flowers on my porch are still alive, which is surprising, for I have had them a little over a month now. Flowers don’t typically survive that long for me! Perhaps they will make it through the summer. Surprises do happen!

Good Morning! Some movies recently have come up in conversation with friends of mine, so I thought I would do a little “scientific” poll among all of you. Any of you that want to participate that is. My all time favorite movie, hands down, would be “The Sound of Music!” I started watching it with my family when I was little and basically grew up with it. Every year around Christmas time we would gather around the TV to watch it. It is one of those movies that never grows old, and warms my heart every time. What is yours?
There are many types of movies that I do like, and two of them came up in conversation. One was a movie from back in my teen years, “Dirty Dancing” with Patrick Swayzee, my sister and I would watch it and dream. How many of you remember it? The other one is more recent, “Mama Mia!” The great music and the beauty of the ocean in the movie, just makes one go “Ahhh!” I will admit though that if “ABBA” would have been singing their own songs the movie would have been even better! I was just chatting with my sister-in-law this morning and she told me about what she had heard on the news. In Utah, a 5 year old boy decided to take the family car out on a errand! He pulled onto the interstate and was weaving and swerving so badly that a cop pulled him over. The cop was thinking that he was either going to find someone who was drunk or having medical problems. He was in for a big shock when he found a little boy behind the wheel. Apparently he was on his way to buy a Lamborghini with the 3 dollars that he had on him. Cars have really went down in price apparently! 🙂 Very glad the cop found him before he had an accident!!

For the first time I have been listening to a book by audio. I really wasn’t sure if I would like “reading” a book that way, but I am really enjoying it. The lady’s voice draws me in and I am so intrigued with the story. Plus now I can “read” and do laundry at the same time! Cook and “read” at the same time. So while nothing compares to an actual book that I can hold in my hand, this has been fun for something different! What new thing have you done lately?

Good Morning! The first day of complete shutdown has started here. All stores, except for grocery stores and all restaurants, except for those with take out service, were mandated to close last night by midnight! At least we don’t have to worry about social distancing with blogging. Blogging is one activity that can still go on, amidst things shutting down around the world. We can still share smiles, laughter and words of encouragement with each other.
