I didn’t sleep well because of some noisy campers and last night I collapsed pretty early (for me), but I enjoyed my trip. I saw a lot of deer and coyotes out there, which I didn’t expect.
Sorry about the noisy campers but cool on seeing Bambi 😉
I died earlier but doing OK now. LOL! Visiting my SIL and her family. They wanted to go hiking and they chose the rugged trail! My legs are not happy with me, but the scenery was pretty.
Thanks. My knee is actually fine. I don’t know what caused the pain before but apparently it is all healed up for it survived the hike. Its my stamina that almost didn’t make it. I didn’t have a latte this morning, that was the problem! Didn’t have my sugar rush. 🙂
They are very loud and their howling carries a long way. It usually wakes me up, but they don’t keep it up for very long. As long as you don’t leave any food out, you probably won’t have visitors.
One time while I was camping with my daughter, she threw some Bugles on the ground not far from our tent, so in the middle of the night we got to hear a raccoon, I think, rooting around for them and crunching on them.
The worst thing that has ever bothered me has been bugs. I try to always keep my tent zipped up tight when I am not in it to keep out the pests.
Joy, I love the police, et al saying good night to the kids with flashing lights. I wonder if the community is safer as a result? The Bob Hope line is wonderful. I remember our US Congress having a moment of silence for Bob Hope’s passing. The probably is he was not dead. He thanked them for the thoughts and said “Reports of my death have been exaggerated.” Keith
Fun and adorable!

I guess now they have to feed a goat and a tiger

But not with another animal! Well not an animal that is whole. 🙂

The tiger must have been very lonely, keeping the goat alive for company. And the panda looks like it is saying “Get away from my food bowl.”

Glad the tiger has a friend now. Everyone needs one.
Haha on the panda. 🙂I just want to hug it!

I hope your knee holds out. When hiking a rough trail, I find that a shoe with ankle support is very nice to have.

Hmmm….. I wonder what a dietician would say about that theory.

That does sound like what a dietician would say to your theory.

What do they know? Thsy obviously haven’t seen Cara when on a sugar high. She probably could speed up the trail ahead of everyone else. 🙂

Just wait until you camp out again, you may get a little visitor …😄

I usually do get visitors. Nothing bad yet. I almost always here coyotes howling in the middle of the night. That’d probably terrify you.

Haha! But yes, that would be a tad unnerving.

That was one happy raccoon. LOL! Though I probably would have been scared at hearing scratching around a tent.
Yes bugs can make your night miserable if stuck in a tent with you.
I slept in a tent once back in my 20’s and it rained hard overnight. Woke up in the middle of a “swimming pool!”

I have never seen the story of the lad with the books.
And I live here.
Bob Hope was buried in San Fernando.
Bit of a downer!

Oh that would have been cool if you would have seen him. But maybe the fact is wrong.

A chat with the gentleman in #4 would be interesting indeed.
As to #5: TUCKED AWAY BEHIND THE CHAPEL of the Mission San Fernando Rey de España, a meandering rose garden pays tribute to… Bob Hope.

I love the children’s hospital story.
I wonder how many people get honked at while getting a book review.
Bob Hope is buried at Mission San Fernando in California. I’ve seen his tomb.

The hospital story was my favorite.
Is it a pretty big gravestone?

Yes. It’s the centerpiece to a small stage-like area. Some of his relatives are also buried there.
