Happy Tuesday! My dear husband is putting together a new glider for our patio. The one we have has needed replaced for awhile, but I wasn’t finding what I wanted. Patience paid off and I found a good deal last week. Rocking on the patio is such a relaxing thing to do, with a cold drink, and a good book, or just sitting and listening to the birds sing. Can’t forget that its also perfect for a starry night to sit on it with your love. I hope you have been able to find a few minutes to relax today and that you enjoy the following quotes.

Just get through the rest of the hot part of the summer, and then you will be able to enjoy being outdoors on that glider much more. And number five made me laugh and think that it is a perfect description of a drama queen (or King, I suppose).

True! 😊
Glad I brought some.laughter to your day with Number 5. Yes, drama queens are very good at opening a can of worms!

5 looks like me in the kitchen. Thinking about writing something on Japanese kitchen knives, which really are different from their Western counterparts. But I think I’m running out of credit at the Urgent Care.
Yes on the glider. Living room, next to the fake wood stove… winter night hot cocoa and reading spot.

I believe that I am really lucky that I don’t own Japanese kitchen knives, or I may be visiting an Urgent Care facility as well. We actually have 3 Urgent Care places, all within 10 minutes of our house and I have visited each one. Not for me as much as for my kids!
Ahh! Winter night hot coca and reading, sounds perfect. 🙂

I’m not sure kids count against Urgent Care credit. Simply considered a standard “occupational hazard” of parenting.

LOL! “occupational hazard”, totally fits!

I hope your patio is long enough to land your new glider.
I like #5 best. I never knew birds could be so controversial.

Maybe the answer to getting my new oven idea to work?

I don’t know. You and Jason lost me a long way’s back, with all your engineer talk.

Sorry… Just occurred to that it might not be such a good idea to turn on a cell phone while using Jason’s method for blocking alien mind-control (sealing yourself in a copper box).

It might work if you’re wearing a tinfoil hat.

Haha! It was long enough and Brad and I were just outside using it. Peaceful night watching the rabbits in our yard.
Yes, I figured you would like Number 5. I couldn’t pass it up.

Sounds like a pleasant evening. Tomorrow morning you can sit out there and watch the early bird open a can of worms.

I just might. 🙂 May bring out a can opener for the bird.

If it’s a jar of worms, just bring out poor Brad.

The rest of the “you are special” quote is “just like everyone else.”
Enjoy your new glider. There is a glider airport North of the city that I live in. Maybe I will get one and take it there some time.
My daughter made me my annual apple pie today as she will be busy all day tomorrow. I may have eaten two pieces already.

Nooo thats not how the quote goes, kind of changes its meaning, doolally!
We did enjoy it tonight , and no, not at the airport! 😶🤚!
So sweet of your daughter and you are entitled to 2 pieces in a day. 3 pieces tomorrow, since it is a specisl day, Breakfast, Lunch and Supper. 😋

Make sure to put candles in the pie to watch the glow. 😉

There is a burn ban in Travis county right now.

Oooh well then I guess you better not put ALL the candles on the pie.

Number 1 is such a good reminder. We can’t be so concerned about what others think. When we do that we tend to not be true to ourselves.
Yes, he is! He is a keeper. 🥰

Congrats on scoring a new glider where watching life from it is has such zen-like joy. Fabulous thoughts. I’m working hard making life art with some broken crayons-and can honestly say, it’s not all bad. 😉

Thanks Monika. I enjoyed it this morning. 🙂 Awww! You keep making your art, my friend! ❤

I like #3 . . . but these days what seems “really important” seems out of my control (politics, climate, racial tensions, etc.) and everything within my sphere of influence pales in importance.
Thoughts?

You are right there is much out of our control. I think we need to focus on the important things that are in our control. And we can do our part to ease racial tensions maybe not world wide, but in our circle of influence, if that makes sense.

Thanks, Joy. You are right . . . we can only “do what we can with what we have where we are,” but the problems seems so BIG and I seem so small. Especially when the US Supreme Court keeps making the wrong call about Gun Control and Women’s Rights and Climate Control.
I think I’ll join you on that glider and just glide my cares away! 😀

Now that seems like a GOOD plan! Come on over! 😊
