Interesting fact about music and communication. My wife and I have far different musical tastes. She is a diehard country fan, and I still love rock from just about any era. I have to admit I like many country songs today as the genre has changed from the old twangy sound of the past. I think my wife and me generally communicate very well.
My husband has a lot more varied musical taste than I do., but we do agree on more than just Blackmore’s Night, that is just a favorite of ours. 🙂 I can handle Country better than he can.
How they figured out that it helps with communication I don’t know. Perhaps its because if you don’t like the music your spouse is listening to then they are wearing earbuds and can’t hear you. Like my husband when listening to his rock.. LOL!
I ah e always found that there is a big communication mismatch in a relationship. The woman will do about 90% of the communicating, mainly because the man only hears about half of what she says. The man mainly communicates when he is hungry.
Well if the man would talk more, the woman wouldn’t have too. Only hears half? Sounds about right. Thats because of the ear buds in their ears. Brad says he is listening to music but……Yes, I am sure he is. 🙂
I’ve told you my theory that woman can speak about three times more words per day than a man can hear. You should be happy with Brad if he can pick up anything you’re talking about.
Haha! He does a good job. The man hears all that we say, their comprehension may just be a little slow. For we may at times talk about another subject why they are still trying to focus on the last subject we were talking about. I can’t help that my brain thinks so fast. 🙂
Did you fall off one of the horses?
Lewis seemed to get a break si maybe you will too. Though who knows what happened at the creek. He may have fallen in!
I thought it was cold there, how did you get sunburn? Of course being out all day will do it even if not real hot out. Did you reapply sunscreen or just once?
One of the reasons I fell in love with my husband was that he loved the same music I did. Forty-five years later, I still joke that I married him for his record collection.
Congrats on 45 years!! LOL about his record collection. Sounds like my hubby and his CD collection! Its HUGE, and I will say I have thanked him as well for introducing me to a lot of different music. 🙂

Oh. Just little horsies, not like wild stallions? Do you understand horse language? Tell them they are welcome and to move away from you.

You may need to bring back the Loony Lewis character again. I seem to identify with him

Oh gosh! Do you have a story to share at how you identify with him? 😉

No, a clutzy guy, misunderstood by women.
I did apply sunscreen to my face twice today and am quite sunburned.

I went on a long hike and put on the sunscreen twice. But my face hurts now in this bar, while I am drinking beer to make it feel better.
On the long trail, I saw not a single other person for hours. Just a scary large bull bison 🦬 that I took the long way around.
Perhaps Lewis is Mason’s long lost cousin.

Sorry about your sunburn, pouring cold beer on it may feel better. Though it may attract attention. LOL!
A good thing to steer clear of the bull. It may have been Igor.
Hmmm….maybe!

It started out cold and rainy but by about 10:00 Mountain it was clear and warming up.
I started out at the North unit in central time. The South unit is mountain time.
Tomorrow I am driving to Wyoming because my daughter needs a dad hug.

My wife and I had very different musical tastes and only had a few areas of crossover. I don’t think that was a cause of our divorce, though…
