Happy Tuesday! Did you buy candy to hand out for Halloween or did you already end up eating all the candy you bought? Oops!
I thought I would share a new word with all of you today. I had almost shared it on Sunday’s blog post, though its not really a fact, its just a fun word. Let me know if you can pronounce it. Let’s see, today you put the numbers below the pictures, but the last time, you put the numbers above the pictures. This is why I get so confused. Were you trying to fix the way you do things, only to commit verschlimmbesern?
That poor ice cream man in #2(?) is going to go broke one day. But at least he’ll have plenty of blue rocks.
I suppose you’re going to take the advice in #8(?) or #7(?) and say no to any suggestions to standardize your numbering format, without any explanation. So I won’t be like the guy in #6 or #7 and give you a bucket of advice.
#4 or #5 is for the birds.
If you’re feeling sad about your numbering system, I’ll take the advice in #9 or #10 and try not to cheer you up.
Now it’s time for a nap. I hope you won’t be like those women in #3 or #4, and you’ll let me sleep in peace.

My numberimg system is different when I do it on the phone vs the computer. Sorry! I am not purposely trying to confuse you, than again…..! But the easy way of figuring out the number is just to count yourself. Works well…..as long as you know how to count. 😄

But if wasn’t for your “helpfulness” then Mason couldn’t get himself into the predictaments that he does. I may actually feel guilty otherwise, but nope, don’t know that feeling. Even if he did just get grabbed on a dark, stormy night. You don’t appear to feel bad for him either, so who knows what will happen!

How could I kill off the coffee shop owner! Coffee is vital! Not that Cara is more than capable to run it herself of course…. but… 😉 And who would help Betsy fight off smugglers? Not to mention how sad Amanda would be.

Can’t have good Verschlimmbessern without coffee, right? 🙂 Gotta love those German compound words, with their proper capitalization, of course. Now I’ve started to wonder why English no longer capitalizes nouns in the middle of sentences — kind of like the poor insomniac wondering about dragons and candles. Oh well, at least it’s not midnight…

There is so much to wonder about when it comes to the English language! All the words that don’t follow any of the grammatical rules!
I didn’t wonder about dragons blowing out candles before I read that quote . But .now…! 😀

I haven’t bought any candy yet, so that I couldn’t eat it. Unfortunately, I drank all the egg nog that I bought instead.

I always forget to buy candy until the day of. I just don’t think of halloween like I did when I was a boy.

Now that our kids are grown we tend to forget about it until right the week of. and I did not eat all the candy yet, believe it or not! We actually don’t get that many trick or treaters so don’t need to buy a lot of candy.

Joy, great quotes and I did not know that German word, but it kind of sounds like it means what it does. I love the last quote the best. Those roots build the foundation of better decisions and behavior, not the branches. Keith

I relate to the German word BUT I feel that as I’m now a wiser woman I relate to it less often. Maybe I’ve learned a thing or two. Like not to buy a homing pigeon on Ebay!
