That one memorable line from a movie that you never forget. Like Gone with the Wind … “Frankly my dear, I don’t …” and the line from The Help, … “You just ate my ….” Remember them? What memorable movie line do you remember?
Fall has arrived … caramel pumpkin candle is lit … Autumn centerpiece on the table … and the vacant spot on our porch where the summer flowers were can now be filled with Mums!

One of my favorite movie lines is from Clint Eastwood, in The Mule: “The only people who want to live to 100 are 99 year olds.”
Our Fall usually arrives in late-October. It ends in February, with the arrival of Spring.

Have you seen “The Help.”?

Yes, I remember that scene with the pie. It leaves me thinking twice before I eat chocolate pie.

I hadn’t seen it in years and then my lady was watching it today when I was working and that scene made me laugh and gag again!
I was going to say Hey, you missed winter! LOL!Must be nice to have a long Fall, but I would miss the snow.

We do get snow now and then, so I guess you can say that sometimes winter makes an appearance for a few days.

I wouldn’t mind a much shorter winter!

Joy, two great lines from movies with several others. Here are a few others.
– “Sometimes there aren’t enough rocks.” Forrest Gump
– “Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” Casablanca
– “Mrs. Robinson, I think you are trying to seduce me.” The Graduate
– “What we have here, is a FAILURE to communicate.” Cool Hand Luke
I could go on. Each of these movies has a number to choose from. Casablanca has six of the top 100 quotes in movie history, as an example.

Hi Keith! Good ones, especially the Forrest Gump one. OH yes, there are so many! The lady I take care of was watching The Help yesterday and I walked in on that scene. Hadn’t seen it in years, but I hadn’t forgotten that part. She really likes Casablanca too. 🙂
And Gone with the Wind may be the most repeated quote! LOL!

Joy, we love that movie as well. I have a relative who has anxiety, paranoia and self-esteem issues. We taped a line from “The Help” on her make-up mirror.
“You are kind, you are smart and you are important.” She repeats that mantra every day.
As for “Gone with the Wind,” my mother said people both gasped and applauded Rhett Butler’s line at the end in the movie theaters. I have written about this before, but my sweet mother detested the Ashley Wilkes’ character as he was so unfair to his wife. Keith

Love that quote. I would say that is the best quote from “The Help” . Glad that it helps your relative.
Interesting about the gasping and applause. I remember I was shocked but then I was like “Good for you Rhett!” LOL! Though I did have some sympathy for Scarlett.
I agree with your Mom, I never cared too much for Ashley either. 🙂
