Friday’s Super Short Stories!

Sea turtles are amazing … When they are ready to make a nest, they will swim back to the beach where they were hatched at … it can be thousands of miles away sometimes, but they find their way back … With my sense of direction I was obviously not meant to be a sea turtle!

Another day of trying to nail jello to a tree! ( in other words trying to reason with your teen/young adult)

Discovering a new author is like finding a new type of candy … It whets your appetite for more … Read my first James Patterson book.

  1. I love sea turtles! But then again, I love most all non-human critters, even bees ‘n spiders. Um … Carolyn? Why would you want to nail Jello to a tree … or is it your recalcitrant teen you’re hoping to nail to a tree? Either way … bad idea. Oh wow! You’ve just now discovered James Patterson? He’s among my favourites, has been since the first one I ever read, “Along Came A Spider”! Read some of the older ones with Alex Cross … much fun!

  2. You can go down to Padre Island National Seashore to see the baby turtles released this time of year. I have never done it, but I know people who have. I think that this particular sea turtle has made a big comeback thanks to the US and Mexican governments protect their beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.

  3. We saw sea turtles in Hawaii, years ago. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
The best way to nail jello to a tree is to let it sit in the fridge for about three months, first.
I’ve never read James Patterson. However, you might consider changing the spelling of “wets” to “whets,” unless he writes drippy romance novels.
