Friday’s Super Short Stories!

Thankful that in this year of “social distancing, we can still reach out and “touch” someone thanks to technology!

What Cheerio is for you? Its not just plain Cheerio’s anymore. Pumpkin Spice, Coconut, Blueberry, Peach, Maple, or Banana Nut?

“No, we don’t put the Christmas tree up until December!”… 2020 … “Mom, can we put the Christmas …”  “Go ahead, I will put the Christmas music on and make the hot cocoa!”  Yes, our tree is up!

  1. We can even reach out and contact trace, in some states, thanks to technology.
Apple-Cinnamon Cheerios for me. I’m surprised that wasn’t on your list.
Christmas trees are fire hazards. They should be thrown out with the coffee, tea, and wine.

  2. Technology to reach out and touch…I’ve been doing that for over 25 years. There is still something to be said for mailing letters and cards.

I have never been able to eat Cheerios. Oats are nasty.

I haven’t had a tree for Christmas in over a decade. I grew up with an artificial tree at my paternal GPs and a real tree at my maternal GPs. My parents tried real trees with root balls for about five years. We would plant them in the front yard and each tree died within four months. After that, it was a cut, real tree. I still find discarded real trees on the curb heartbreaking. I’d rather leave the tree alive, in the ground.
