Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start and that it continues to go smoothly. If you find yourself dodging curve balls though, perhaps you can follow the advice of the first quote of the day. Though I do hope that your world doesn’t crash down around you! Enjoy the quotes, and remember take some time each day to “just breathe!”

I thought you would notice the West Wing ones, my thanks to you for them. 🙂 I told my husband we had to watch it! He agreed saying he already had it on his list.
Yes, the library pretty much sums me up! Writing and reading are my refuge!

Will let you know! We have to finish Gray’s Anatomy first or as my husband says, my soap opera! I keep correcting him that its a medical drama. LOL!

I think my favorite medical drama was St. Elsewhere – it may have been before your time 🙂

I have heard of it but yes before my time. 🙂

Did you watch ER?

ER was also a great show…

I thought ER was about pirates so I didn’t watch it.

“Haha!” Well since you missed ER, I think you should watch Gray’s Anatomy. 🙂

I have to finish Blacklist first. It’s a pretty good show but doesn’t have any talking animals in it.

LOL! Well…thats just sad, I believe they need a talking chicken…Oh wait, he’s dead!

I do recall a few of the doctors were rather swashbuckling, like George Clooney…

Did he say “Eee-yar”?

OH gosh! You don’t know, you didn’t watch the show! 🙂

No, that may have been when I was in college. I didn’t watch much TV at all during those years. I just thought ER sounded like something a pirate would say.

It was in the early 90’s. I was sharing an apartment at the time , and my friend and I would watch it and yes, we may have swooned over George Clooney. LOL!
I may have to try to find a pirate quote for next week.

Not sure that they have nice quotes being looters, murderers, rapists and such.

You may have a point there! So what was your favorite quote this time, if you have one?

We can’t go to the library, in our county. It’s been closed for about 8 months now, due to Covid restrictions. So that does it for #1. But for some reason, #2 struck me the most. We only see a tiny fragment of the lives we encounter, which is something to consider when we frame our judgments.

Sorry that your library is still closed. Ours reopened this summer, but with shorter hours.
Number 2 has been a favorite of mine for awhile because of exactly what you said. There is so much we don’t know about people and if we don’t understand their actions it may be because we only know a part of their story. The part that we walked in on.

Whoops, my mistake. I just checked it out and they are open, but with modified hours, due to Covid. “I just checked it out.” Get it?

Are you really going to make me groan this early in the morning! 😛
I think you should go to the library!

I hate the library. Hence my assumption that it was still closed.

I think it’s all the rules. No loud talking, no cursing, and no rollerskating, for instance. In other words, no fun.

I’ll go with #2 also. We know such a tiny part of other people’s stories, even when we believe that we know them well.

Love that quote by ‘Leo McGarry.’ We could use a West Wing like that these days.

That quote is what makes me want to see the show! I haven’t watched the series but Jim was talking about it on his blog and had shared that quote, now my interest is piqued! 🙂

One of the smartest series ever. The dialogue was priceless with a super cast. Enjoy it-it’s worth it even after all these years.

#2 ~> what do I care if someone wants to judge me? They are only deluding themselves.
#4 ~> my mom hid her jewelry before leaving on an extended trip. When she got back, she thought they’d been robbed because her jewelry was “gone, but not forgotten.” In reality, her jewelry was in hiding, “forgotten, but not gone.”
