The secret to keeping your sanity is to be a little cuckoo and perhaps a little quacked!
When rising early in the morning meant that you got the prize in the cereal box!
If only Scooby-Doo could solve all the mysteries in life!

Sounds like you’ve discovered the secret, quack quack quack.
I can remember my brother beating me to the cereal box one morning, and digging through it with his grubby hands. I’m a germaphobe, so after he found the prize I didn’t feel very enthusiastic about eating the cereal.

I discovered it long ago but have not mastered the secret as well as some people have! 🙂
Well I hope you were able to get to the cereal box first the next time!

Not sure about next time, but as he grew older, he became less interested in the prize.

So was it the fun tattoos that you liked? 🙂 those were my favorite prize.

I don’t remember, but I doubt it was tattoos. I’ve never been into that. Might have been an action figure, or a secret decoder ring. Couldn’t be a whistle, because whenever I’d get a whistle, my mother would steal it from me and crush it into a thousand pieces, and throw it away. I guess whistles made her nervous.

These tattoos didn’t hurt, so I didn’t mind them, and they weren’t permanent.
Uh oh about the whistle, sorry! Guess she didn’t want you constantly blowing it. The secret rings were cool too.
Cracker jack boxes had cool prizes as well!

That’s where I got my drivers license. From a box of Cracker Jacks.

Haha!! Guess its good that I don’t have to worry about you being on the road when I drive! You are a little far away!

It might encourage you to know that I haven’t had an at-fault accident since age 16. But for some strange reason, I do see a lot of accidents and near-misses happening all around me, everywhere I drive. Seems like most people just don’t know how to drive.

I agree with you about a lot of people not knowing how to drive! I have a good driving record too except for the dings due to our garage door jumping out at me and perhaps a sign or 2. But no accidents!

Has the garage door come down on top of you? We just got some automatic garage doors, and I can see how that can happen.

Well I wish I had that excuse! Instead its more the fact that when I back out of the garage the mirror may jump out at the wall.

That’s almost happened to me a few times. Those damn mirrors have a way of extending themselves every time I back out of my garage. I have to be real careful.

Glad I am not the only one! They extend themselves on purpose!
I am laughing for I just noticed your “where smartasses chase unicorns” line on your blog! When did you change it? 😆

Good eye! I just changed it this morning, a few hours ago. I was waiting to see if anyone would notice.

Oh, well good! Here I thought I just hadn’t noticed! I am more observant than I thought. 🙂

If only you could notice those jumping mirrors.

It was a fun memory that popped into my head. Those really cool tattoos that you could put on. No pain involved with those kind of tattoos. 🙂

If all the mysteries in life were caused by someone in a mask trying to scare everyone, the Scooby Doo would be the best solution.

Too bad that they are more complex than that! He was a smart dog. 🙂

I doubt even Scooby could handle all the mysteries these days. Have a great weekend.

He might get a bit overwhelmed by all the masks he sees!
Our A/C stopped working yesterday, so it was looking like it would be a VERY HOT weekend, but fortunately it was an easy fix! Eat some ice cream this weekend to stay cool! 🙂

Yikes…non functioning AC in the summer is a definite ‘no, no, NOOOOOOO!’ Glad it was an easy fix. Stay cool.

For SURE! We had all our fans going full blast! Thankful that we had them!

They can be a real blessing to store when the AC goes out.

It’s been a long time since I got the prize in the cereal box. Or seen Scooby Do on a Saturday morning. Ah, the good old days…

and remember some cereal boxes had a real record on the back that you could cut out and play on your record player! and there was a song by The Archies that contained the lyrics “Skooby Doo”…

A great song! 🙂 My daughter loves the show Riverdale! It was fun to show her what Archie and Betty and the others used to look like way back when! I have to say I have been caught up in Riverdale with her too. They do find themselves in big mysteries, but there is no Scooby!
