It is the last week of April, and we have been having April showers, but we haven’t yet today. Looks like we will be celebrating another family birthday in quarantine. My husband’s is on Sunday, May 3rd. Think we will go out …. to the back porch! Perhaps if its a nice day, we can have a campfire in the evening. Roast some S’mores. Yum, right? What can be a better combination than graham crackers, golden brown marshmallows and a chocolate bar? Brings smiles to my taste buds. Enjoy the following quotes, and may they bring smiles to your heart!
I like number 9 the bestest.

How does the spit infinitive not burn your eyes?

Whoops, that is not a split infinitive. This is why I was an engineering major.

Ha Ha! I knew it! When I chose that quote, I guessed that you would make a comment about it “burning your eyes” . Then I saw that you chose the one about love and wind and I was like, Oh, I was wrong, but…. LOL! Nope, I wasn’t! 🙂

I figured you would! 🙂

Love resembles the wind…. Let me see if I can strain that metaphor.
If it is too strong it can cause serious damage.
You can harness it and produce electricity?
It is a product of severe storms.
The planet Jupiter is a very lovely place.
You can’t much fly a kite without it.
Sometimes it knocks over stuff on the back patio.

LOL! You are creative, aren’t you! Well done, especially the electricity and Jupiter one. 🙂

to quote Willie Nelson (Graceland)
And she said, “losin’ love
Is like a window in your heart
Everybody sees you’re blown apart
Everybody sees the wind blow”

Oh gosh!
I didn’t know there could be so much drawn from that one quote. 🙂
I think there are just 2 Willie Nelson songs that I like.

I am a Willie Nelson fan, which is actually a legal obligation in Austin. That song kind of resonated with me when I was getting divorced way back when, so I remember it well.

I do like the words so you may have made me curious enough to look it up and listen to it now. I can see how those lyrics would have resonated with you during a divorce. Sorry you had to go through that. My friend went through a divorce a couple years ago, hard times, but she really is much better off.
I may not be a fan of his music, so I guess I am not moving to Austin, but he does have some good songs. My favorite of his is his version of an Elvis Presley song. You Are Always on my Mind.

He and Elvis sang a lot of the same songs. I always preferred the Willie versions as I like his voice better. But I like Elvis as well.
The divorce is remote enough in the past now that it all mostly seems funny now, though I don’t recommend it. And I get to listen to some of my favorite songs again.

I can’t think of Elvis without thinking of his “Love me Tender” song. I was 17 or 18years old and a Camp Counselor over the summer. The song was dedicated and sung to me in a talent show. No, it wasn’t performed by a staff member. It was by a camper! No, the staff did NOT forget it!

You must have been doing some effective camp counseling that summer.

“Haha!” It took me by such surprise when he said my name on stage. I was known as a “heartbreaker” the rest of the summer!

To be fair, you probably think half of his songs are by someone else.

Haha! No worries, it was about Tippy…Oops. did I say that outloud? A “psychiatrist” isn’t supposed to talk about their patients.

How can you have a s’more without marshmallows?? The soft, gooey warm yummy marshmallow!

I just don’t like marshmallows, the stickiness or the pure sugar. So, I guess graham crackers and and melty chocolate for me.

Those are very good too and yes I know marshmalllows are pure sugar. Sadly my family reminds me of that often. LOL! I have the sweetest tooth of all of them.

You clearly need to drink black coffee so that you can reap the benefits of killing your sweet tooth.

That clearly is NOT going to happen, though it probably would kill my sweet tooth.
I would only drink a cup of black coffee if there was some dire reason that I needed too.
