Tuesday’s Thoughts!

For the first time I have been listening to a book by audio. I really wasn’t sure if I would like “reading” a book that way, but I am really enjoying it. The lady’s voice draws me in and I am so intrigued with the story.Β  Plus now I can “read” and do laundry at the same time!Β  Cook and “read” at the same time. So while nothing compares to an actual book that I can hold in my hand, this has been fun for something different! What new thing have you done lately?

Don’t forget that tomorrow is April Fools Day. Be on your guard. I have ones who keep me on my toes all the time, so I am used to being on my guard. May these quotes bring some sunshine your way today and please stay well, as we keep taking one day at a time!

  1. Boy, numbers 1, 3 but especially #10 really resonated with me. Hope springs eternal, right? Enjoy your audio book. Because our libraries are closed, I’m going back through books I purchased years ago but for some reason never got to; one of the few times I’m glad I didn’t ditch them all! Keep smiling and stay strong.

    • Glad to know #10 really resonated. I like to end with powerful ones. I couldn’t resist number 3, for we need to keep laughing. πŸ™‚
Yes, I was kicking myself that I didnt get to the library before ours closed. Then Amazon offered me a free audible books trial and I thought, hey why not.
Thanks! You stay strong too, give Elsa and Norman some love from me too. ❀

  2. Definitely #1 — a lot of “normal” things aren’t worth getting back to, and hopefully more people will start to realize that. And I’m glad to have the Libby app for electronic borrowing from the library; it can quickly download a library book to a Kindle or tablet. Although not everything in the library’s collection is available in e-book format, so far it looks like a reasonably good selection.

  3. I used to think that I dreaded going to the grocery store…. Maybe some parts of normal will be nice to return too.

    And #7.

I am sure that you will have something with a little foolishness in it for us tomorrow.

  4. Tuesday’s Thoughts contain excellent food for thought, as always! This may surprise you, but today’s favorite is #3. I became a squirrel aficionado due to Benjamin’s love for a little squirrel he rightly named Lily Bob-Tail. In Lily Bob-Tail’s honor, wherever she may be, I choose this one. But, today is National Crayon Day which celebrates Crayons and all of the colorful joy that they bring to children of all ages. It was difficult to choose my favorite quote for this auspicious occasion. Tempted though I am to add two, I will limit myself to one. “Our attitudes are the crayons that color our world.” – Allen Klein. And as you have mentioned, tomorrow is April Fools’ Day which tends to make fools of us all. It is also National One Cent Day and much as I would like to regale you with a plethora of facts…I won’t! You might be thinking “Lucky Me” today. However, a word of advice in regards to tomorrow. Definitely put a lucky one-cent coin in your pocket…you will need it I’m sure! Thank-you!

    • Oh I remember Lily Bob-Tail! πŸ™‚ I knew I picked that squirrel comic for a reason!
I like that quote you shared about crayons and glad you told me it was National Crayon Day, they just have a day for everything! My fav crayon quote would be “Broken crayons still color!” Have repeated that to my daughter many times!
Thanks for the tip about the 1cent for tomorrow. Will do! πŸ˜‰

      • Your fav quote is one of my favorites too and it is one that I nearly used. I love the entire wording : “We are all a little broken. But last time I checked, broken crayons color the same.” – Trent Shelton. Interesting surname, wouldn’t you say?? Thank-you and hold onto that penny!!

  5. #1 & #10 (modified) ~> I think we’re going to realize that “human connection” is often over-rated and that “social distancing” has benefits even in the absence of a pandemic. πŸ˜›
