The tea of Kindness is always pleasant tasting!
When a song you have known for a long time becomes more poignant.
When the forecast is of snow and ice …. but the forecast inside …. is hot drinks, cozy blankets, love, laughter and everything nice.
We don’t have a fireplace, this pic is from Pinterest, but we do have hot drinks and books. 🙂
But tea is poison. Haven’t you ever heard of killing someone with kindness?
That does look like a cozy fireplace, though.

“Very funny!”
and yes I agree about the fireplace. We can put a picture of a crackling fire up on our TV, it makes the sounds of a real fire, and looks like a real fire, just doesn’t exactly have the warmth of a real fire. 🙂

But at least your house won’t burn down from an errant spark.

Very true! Which makes me think of a story about Brad’s Grandma. She told us how one time back when she was first married, they lived back in the mountains and her husband drank whiskey much to her disdain. One day he brought a jug of it home and she was so mad that she grabbed it from him and poured it in the fire! We were laughing so hard as she said that it sure made the fire blaze!! They were lucky it didn’t burn the house down! 🙂

Maybe that’s why they call it firewater.

You need a plasma TV, those things are like 600W.

This post may have made me feel too warm. Really, living in Austin, I am just thankful any day that my air conditioner doesn’t have to run.

I can only imagine. We won’t be rinning our A/C until June!
Sorry if I made you feel too warm. I will try to have s “colder” post next time for you. 🙂

If your area is anything like here, that means the grocery stores will be packed today! Hope you got there early before they ran out of milk, bread and bananas!

Yup! People go crazy and I go crazy at everyone going crazy. Haha!
You would think that we live out in the boonies and storms keep us closed in for a week! No matter how bad the storm, the most we have ever been housebound is 3 days. No one will die if they don’t have milk, eggs, bananas or bread for 3 days! LOL!

Same here … almost everyone lives within a few short miles of a grocery store, and here, they only have to say the “S-word”, even if it’s only going to be a few flurries, and people go nuts!

Friday’s Super Short Stories hit the spot, just like a cup of coffee! On the first one story…Tea used to be my beverage of choice, until I discovered flavored coffee! I have a rather large coffee mug that has these words printed on it : “Kindness is like coffee – It awakens your spirit and improves your day. Fill your cup with both.” – I’ll leave the author as unknown as no name is on the mug. On the second story…”Puff the Magic Dragon” by Peter, Paul and Mary is foremost in my mind. This being because yesterday was the annual celebration of “Appreciate A Dragon Day” and Jill did a post about both the song and the day. Mayhaps Dinosauris and you should fly on over there for a visit! Dinosauris went to school yesterday to celebrate the day with a group of kindergarteners. On the third story…It is bitter cold today with a small amount of snow predicted for Saturday in the late afternoon hours. I’m hoping for a Gem Sleepover tomorrow, they always include lots of fun, laughter and love. Thank-you!

Flavored coffee is yummy! Just don’t let Tippy hear you say that. LOL!
Oh I love “Puff the Magic Dragon”, I will have to go read Jill’s post. I remember seeing it yesterday but at the time couldn’t read it. You just gave me a wonderful idea about Dinosauris. Thanks! I hope you do get a Gem sleepover, what fun! Give Benjamin a hug for me! And hugs to you! 🙂
