Friday’s Super Short Stories!

  1. Some dreams are plain crazy …. and some can be our sub-conscious speaking. If dreaming of sugarplums dancing, you may have had too much eggnog.

2. Peace, joy, and love aren’t gifts to be unwrapped only at Christmas. Let them fill your heart 365 days of the year!

3. Did Santa make you happy, or are you wondering where your hippopotamus is?

  1. Sugar Plums are small spheres of candy made from hardened sugar that may or may not contain plums or other fruits. My youngest daughter, the pastry chef/chocolatier, makes some that are soft sugar coated fruit flavored jellies of a purple hue and are a favorite of mine. Needless to add that sugar plums gained there renown thanks to a few sources, two of which are : 1) Clement Clark Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” line about “visions of sugar plums danced…” and 2) Tchaikovsky’s Sugar Plum Fairy in “The Nutcracker”. Peace, joy and love should not be discarded with the dried up Christmas Tree, nor packed away with the decorations. They should be shared each and every day, whether there be 365 or 366 of them. My Hippopotamus is where it belongs, roaming freely in its own natural environment. Thank-you!

    • Now you have me wanting to try some sugar plums, thanks for the explanation!
You do a great job of sharing peace, joy and love Ellen, throughout the year, even when the year has one extra day. 🙂
LOL! Yes, that is where hippos belong, in their natural environment. 🙂
