- Some dreams are plain crazy …. and some can be our sub-conscious speaking. If dreaming of sugarplums dancing, you may have had too much eggnog.
2. Peace, joy, and love aren’t gifts to be unwrapped only at Christmas. Let them fill your heart 365 days of the year!
3. Did Santa make you happy, or are you wondering where your hippopotamus is? https://youtu.be/57vrqCENNPc
It occurs to me that I don’t actually know what a ‘sugar plum’ is.
If we had too much peace, joy, and love… would we appreciate it? I don’t know, but I like the sentiment.
I know where my hippopotamus is.

Hmm…I don’t know what a sugar plum is either. I know I like plums though. 🙂
Too much peace, joy and love… you raise an interesting point. Like how we can’t appreciate the sunshine as much without the rain!
Okay, now you have me wondering??? Where exactly is your hippopotamus?

Well, he was hungry, hungry. So he ate a bunch of those little white marbles. Now he is in the closet.

We did very much, just wish we could have somehow made the day last longer than 24 hours. 🙂
Thanks! I hope you did too!

Regarding number 2: Next year has 366 days. What shall we do with the extra day?

Oh you would havs to ask that! Why don’t you come up with an idea since you are so smart! 🙂

How about we use the extra day for thinking about all my good ideas?

Sugar Plums are small spheres of candy made from hardened sugar that may or may not contain plums or other fruits. My youngest daughter, the pastry chef/chocolatier, makes some that are soft sugar coated fruit flavored jellies of a purple hue and are a favorite of mine. Needless to add that sugar plums gained there renown thanks to a few sources, two of which are : 1) Clement Clark Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” line about “visions of sugar plums danced…” and 2) Tchaikovsky’s Sugar Plum Fairy in “The Nutcracker”. Peace, joy and love should not be discarded with the dried up Christmas Tree, nor packed away with the decorations. They should be shared each and every day, whether there be 365 or 366 of them. My Hippopotamus is where it belongs, roaming freely in its own natural environment. Thank-you!

Now you have me wanting to try some sugar plums, thanks for the explanation!
You do a great job of sharing peace, joy and love Ellen, throughout the year, even when the year has one extra day. 🙂
LOL! Yes, that is where hippos belong, in their natural environment. 🙂

Nope.
I have never wanted a hippo for Christmas.
Nor have I ever wanted to feel like a hippo after eating too many sugar plums.

LOL!! You don’t want to be a “Hungry Hungry’ hippo with the sugar plums and gobble down as many as you can! 🙂
