Ignoring the facts, doesn’t change the facts!
May your heart be an overflowing fountain of kindness and compassion … not a stagnant pond!

You know how I feel about kindness… And this is a great reminder of why it is so important to be as kind as possible 🙂 I love the quote at the end… I really have to remember it! Thank you for sharing 🙂 🙂 🙂 xx

Great short movie. In a culture that is sadly self-serving, we need a reminder that we have so much to give … whether it be a few $$$s … our time … a friendly ear … a smile … or even our seat. There is so much that can say “you exist and I care” but, unfortunately, it is so common to just see barriers put up.

Glad you liked the movie. I love how you don’t need many words and sometimes no words, to convey a powerful message.
You are exactly right, there are so many ways to show we care. It doesn’t need to be anything dramatic and huge, sometimes the simplest acts, can mean so very much.

Perhaps there are more lessons to be learned here:
That old man could have been kinder by letting that crippled lady have a seat. And that crippled lady could have been more generous, by not hogging all the kindness. She and the old man could have taken turns sitting and standing, so that they both would have had a chance to be kind.

But the old man did say to the lady to let him know when she gets tired, so he was showing kindness in being willing to share. 🙂

Right. And kudos to the old fart. But heck, five hours of standing in one place? That’s pure torture. She could have been kind enough to actually let him know that she was tired, and given him a chance to be kind, by relieving her aching legs and feet.

Oh gosh! She didn’t have to stand for the whole 5 hours, but you already know that don’t you! 🙄😏

No. She finally allowed the train conductor to be kind to her, and give her a free seat. So there’s some hope for the redemption of this lady’s soul.
Anyway, what kind of train sells 5 hour, standing-room only seats? I hope it isn’t Amtrak.

Kind of looked like a commuter train … but where on earth where they going that would take 5 hours?

Ooooh you didn’t really ask that did you?

Yes I certainly did! Did I miss something perhaps?

Well I believe I missed it too, sorry can’t help you, guess you will just have to wonder. 🙂

Its only fair that you have something to wonder about…after all I know what it’s like to be curious about certain things all too well! ☺️

I know. Something seems a little fishy here.

Have to agree. The principle of the movie was good … but the detail leaves something to be desired. A “no seat” ticket for a 5 hour commute? Go figure! 🙂

Oh the detail oriented people in my life! I feel like I am watching a movie with Brad. LOL!

Yes, smells fishy alright, like clown fish are swimming around! 🙂

Well I’m glad you agree. If this lady hitched a ride in a clown car, do you think she’d give up her seat for an old clown?

But what is a clown car? Clown fish don’t ride in cars!

A clown car is a very small vehicle, perhaps the size of a VW Bug, that can fit about two dozen red-nosed, bigfooted occupants. And clown fish can ride in a clown car, when in a bowl being held by a clown.

Did you know that clown is simply nwolc spelled backwards?

Guess what. I did actually know that, but how nice of you to point it out just in case I hadn’t known.

Wanted to let you know that I kindly brought your question about wondering where the train was going. I answered it in my post last night, so now you no longer have to wonder. 🙂

Yeah, I can’t win, can I. I should know that by now … BUT … one can always hope! 🙂

Having actively participated in the Global Climate Strike yesterday, once again these become Satfriurday’s Super Short Stories. On the first story : Climate Change is real and man-made, there is overwhelming scientific proof of that fact…no matter what one chooses to believe. On the second story : “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” – Dalai Lama. Lastly, judging by the comments centered around the short video, I chose to skip it! Thank-you!

You are right dear Ellen, what one chooses to believe doesn’t change the facts! Too many bury their heads in the sand.
Yes it always possible to be kind and we have so many chances every day to show kindness.
Besides the “5 hour” part, which the comments were about, the film does make a very good point! 🙂 Have a great day!
