Tuesday’s Thoughts!

These may be a mixture of Monday’s Night Thoughts and very early Tuesday morning Thoughts. I have an Eye Dr. appt. first thing in the morning tomorrow, so I figured I better start getting this post ready now, or else tomorrow morning will come and go, and everyone will wonder where “Tuesday’s Thoughts” are! Or perhaps you wouldn’t notice. πŸ™‚ But just to be on the safe side, I decided not to let you wait until I get home from the Dr. and more importantly until my eyes get un-dilated and can see again. That is the worst thing about the Eye Dr., the dilating of the eyes, for it takes sooo long to wear off!

This is just a regular check up, I do think my one cataract may be getting worse, so cataract surgery is probably not far into the future. Yes, I am fairly young to have cataracts, but for some reason I have them. Already had one removed a few years ago and I had one in the other eye at the same time, but it was very small at the time so we left it alone. I am glad I have an Eye Dr. that I trust and that things like cataracts can be taken care of for eyes are something that can’t be replaced!

Enjoy the quotes and appreciate all the senses that you have, they are a gift, that not everyone has. Oh and I almost forgot! Some clever guesses for yesterday’s post about what may be in the box, but sorry, you all were wrong! What is in the box at times, is our 3 ferrets! Yes, its an outdoor play thing for them on nice days. Filled with soil and plastic tunnels for them to go through. They enjoy it!

  1. These are all so good! I cannot choose faves! Good luck at the eye doctor. I had cataracts early and had to have the surgery. It is simple, painless, and so wonderful to see afterwards!

  2. Hi JR! Happy belated Easter weekend! 🐣 I’m sorry about the cataracts. I think you can have them at various ages. I’m sorry you’ve gotten them so young, but pray it all goes well so quickly you can have your cataract removed and read/work/see with more ease again. Today, my fav quote is the one about feeling the sunshine from the inside. But, maybe that’s an inside and outside thing. We need both πŸ™‚ Still I thought it apt when I woke up and saw how sunny and beautiful it is today.
Take care and I really do hope you can be rid of the cataract. Universal health care is wonderful, but it does mean that sometimes there are long waiting lists for surgeries like this and other things like knee/hip replacement or surgery etc.

    Hugs πŸ€—

    • Thanks Mandi!! I do need the cataract removed but I am glad that at least it’s something that can be fixed! I have heard that before about having to wait so long for surgeries , I am thankful we don’t have that. I guess there is nothing that is absolutely perfect as far as health plans go. There are pros and cons on both sides.
Glad you felt the sunshine this morning!

    • Thanks! The dilation is finally clear after 9 hours! My eyes are extra sensitive to it, so just enjoyed listening to music and took a nap during the day. πŸ˜‰
Yes. 7 is a great reminder!

  3. Wait! You can not be saying that the conclusion that I posited last night about the box is incorrect! The box is for 3 ferrets, distant relatives of the weasel? You have 3 ferrets and 2 dogs? In Rhode Island one must obtain a permit to house even 1 ferret. Did you know that they are illegal in Hawaii because they might carry rabies and the state is rabies free and wishes to remain so? I only know that because I had ferret loving friends who moved there 2 years ago, sans ferrets! Well, I shall try to contain my disappointment about the box and move to the quotes. On the Gemma Troy ones, have you had an opportunity to read either of her two books that were published last year, “Heartlines” and “Moonlight”? You probably know that she is an Australian poet and photographer, combining both into her books. #5 and #6 are pages from her books. I love the photography in the books, but find her poetry more like what is known as prose poetry and at times they seem to be particularly written for a boyfriend or husband as opposed to a general audience. Much as I love Mark Twain and the truth in #2 that I often share these days, I have to go with #10 as today’s favorite. I will give you a quote by Shirley Temple in honor of her birthday today : “Don’t forget to tell your favorite people that you love them.” Did you enjoy some jelly beans on National Jelly Bean Day yesterday? Thank-you!

    • LOL!! Oh clever Ellen, yes sorry, but your answer was wrong. Though I am impressed that you noticed the steps , for no one else mentioned that! I see where Benjamin gets his observation skills from. πŸ™‚
I never read her books but would lie to. Thanks for the titles. I have thought that about her poetry as well being for someone she loves. Would love to see her photography .
It’s Shirley Temple’s bday today, oh how I love her! Watched all her movies! Well just about all of them. Ones she did when she was alot older I haven’t seen.
No. I missed out on the jellybeans, but perhaps I can make up for it. πŸ™‚ Thanks for all your lovely facts that you share with me, they are fun to know! πŸ™‚

    • Forgot to mention about the ferrets. Yes we have 3 of them, and 2 dogs yup we are crazy! They really are cute and friendly though! I did not know that about Hawai, guess we can’t move there! πŸ™‚
