Eltz Castle in Germany photo from Pinterest
She stopped right before the castle door. Who lived in this majestic castle? Would they let her in? Her car had broken down and there were 2 guys that stopped to help her but they sure didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They rode up in a police car, but she greatly wondered if they really were cops, for when she asked to see their ID, she got shown 4 separate ID’s. They had 2 each.
The one guy offered to look under the hood of her car, but he forgot to prop open the hood and it clunked him on the head. The other guy pulled out her spare tire and they tried to put it on for her, but it was like watching Laurel and Hardy. She had trouble holding back her laughter as humor danced in her eyes while watching them. They were sweet, but they didn’t have a clue as to what they were doing. She thanked them kindly and then sent them on their way, assuring them that she would go find help at this castle that she had spied down the road.
Now she wondered if she had done the right thing, but she couldn’t turn back time now, so she bravely knocked on the door.
Who would come to the door she wondered as she timidly waited. She had always wanted to see inside a castle, now perhaps she would have her chance.
Was anyone going to come, had they heard her knock, she started swaying from side to side as she was growing curiouser and curiouser by the minute.
Oh she heard footsteps coming, her heart began to thump as the door slowly swung open and …
(Part 2 will be coming… 🙂 )
Oh no! What happens next! I’ll be waiting on the edge of my seat.

Out came the two guys who had tried to help her. They showed their IDs again. One was named Jinx, and the other Jangle.

OH dear! We have imposters! For they are definitely not the real Jinx and Jangle, because Jinx and Jangle are Santa’s elves from the North Pole!

How can you be so sure?

I am as sure as I am of Bob Seger not being Italian like you said or Irish like Colin said. There may be things that confuse me BUT if my fictional characters start doing their own thing then I am in trouble! Though knowing the kind of characters that Jinx and Jangle are, it would be like them to not stay where I put them!!

Well alright. But the way those two guys tried to look under a hood and change a tire kind of reminded me of J & J.

You are wise for yes there is a very close resemblance BUT the problem is Jinx and Jangle are at the North Pole. They could be relatives of theirs perhaps 🙂

LOL! Oh if you only knew the truth behind my secretive writing style which isn’t so secretive to some and I am guessing you are catching on quick. 🙂 Don’t forget about Snowball!

Guess so …. fictional characters are usually inspired by REAL characters, just saying. 🙂

Your “genius” friend can explain if you need it 🙂
Do you know how “The Odessa Chronicles” got started?

I’m thinking some down-and-out author started writing it in a cheap motel room in Odessa, Texas.

Haha! Oooh so close! I thought I would write story on my blog about a cat and it’s owner, a man-servant. Why? Because there just may have been an incident in real life where some “genius” played a joke that I totally fell for! So I thought I would write a story where a man-servant would be gullible. Changed some details of course but left it clear enough for the “genius” to understand what the story was referring to when he read it on my blog. The cat had dug up a flower pot with a strange inscription on it. The man-servant couldn’t figure it out , thought it must be Latin or something like that. Yes, me and “latin” go a long way back! And I think I said enough now without giving the real joke away which still causes me to smack my forehead when I think about it!

So, you were inspired by what a cat dug up, huh? Gives new meaning to the expression, “Look what the cat dragged in.”
I’ve written several books, myself, and self-published them. None ever sold well, and I have taken them off the market. One is now offered for free on my blog. And even for free it still doesn’t sell well. Writing is not an easy business to get rich at. As they say, don’t quit your day job.

Thanks for the inspiration, you can see now, no more waiting needed. 🙂

LOL! Yes, I guess it does give new meaning to that expression!
OH yes, I am not planning to get rich with writing, just a fun thing that I love to do. And I will take a look at your book. A history book? 🙂

I enjoyed all parts and jinx and jangle meeting Dinosauras and the young woman too. It reminded me a bit of dragon on Shrek who turned out to be nice to Donkey and friends lol. I can also see how these tales would make avery wonderful 2nd book for kids someday in the future. I hope your well and your family too. I hope the book sales have been good too 🙂
