I opened the door to go outside and get the mail and here is what I saw.
He was having his clover breakfast, he turned his head and noticed me.
He had been waiting for me, for he came running straight for me! He had a very important question to ask.
He said “HI! Can I please be in your blog post this morning? Everyone loves bunnies, right?”
How could I say no to such a cute. little bunny? I greeted him back and said how fun it is to walk outside and see him. Its been happening a lot lately. Since he has been a frequent visitor I thought it only polite to say yes to his request! I assured him that he would be in my post and with that reassurance he ran off in a blur.
May your Saturday be filled with Smiles. Stop and smell the roses and watch the bunnies, don’t let the beauty of this world pass you by in one big blur!
so cute.

Yes they are. 🙂 I used to have pet bunnies when I was little.

My grandfather used to breed them for the table way before I was born. My sister had a pet rabbit, though I don’t remember it (I had a budgie) and when Hubby was doing pest control, any he brought home went in a stew or pie.

I have had rabbit before . Tasted like chicken. I had a parakeet too! 🙂 Loved him. I taught him to say some phrases and he would sit on my shoulder as I walked around the house.

Whistler would start chirping every time I sat down to play the piano. Dad found him on the bottom of the cage one morning and dosed him up with homemade blackberry wine. He was one very happy bird but couldn’t perch so Dad took him to the vet.
The vet was astonished and said ‘This bird’s drunk Sir!’ so Dad explained what had happened. Turned out Whistler had had a stroke, so it was a sniff of the strong stuff, but at least he went happy.

Oh My! That made me smile, I can just imagine the vet’s face!! I am sorry about Whistler but like you said, at least he went happy.
Frosty was what I named mine. He was blue and white. I had to give him away to a friend for sadly I developed an allergy to his feathers.

What a shame. Whistler was green and black with a few white spots.

I was glad he got a good home, but yes it was really hard to see him go.

We love bunnies! After dinner most nights, our bike ride (timed to take advantage of cooler temps) includes a Bunny Brigade Contest to see who sees the most bunnies out feeding.
The prize? Seeing the most bunnies! 😀

We have them here too especially since old hunter cat Jake is gone. There are other predators but enough survive.

We have been seeing more baby ones lately and that has been fun.

I love the babies (when they aren’t munching on my flowers) but they are most vulnerable. We get a lot of hawks but I haven’t seen any lately.

I kill flowers so there are none for them to munch on. We only get hawks once in a great while. If I saw one daring to swoop down on one of our bunnies….well I would….I don”t know what but would do something. LOL!

They typically go for rodents but will take bunnies, small squirrels and birds too. As soon as on perches, the birds disappear.

My yard has plenty of bunnies too. A hawk often perches on the fence in the early morning, on the lookout for breakfast. I haven’t seen the hawk catch any of them yet, but I am sure it must get them sometimes.

Yes he is special, we all keep our eyes open for him now. He was hiding under one of our bushes when my husband and I were pulling out of the driveway last night.

I saw a bunny in my yard right before your post and so it made me smile! I have seen them around the neighborhood but never in my yard. This one darted away from me immediately!

Aww! Sorry he didn’t dart towards you! 🙂 We saw another one yesterday which was really tiny! My daughter and I saw it as we pulled into the driveway and we were like Oh my gosh…its so tiny. It ran away quickly under our tree.
