Happy Friday everyone! I don’t usually share the stories behind my “stories”, but wanted to at least share about the 1st one today. Yesterday as I shared in my post, my husband and I went to a funeral of a dear friend. Yes, there were lots of tears, but as these “stories” show there was humor as well. Pat had a crazy, wonderful sense of humor, it was impossible to honor his life without remembering the humor.
One of the memories shared was about how Pat relentlessly pursued his wife-to-be. I was there during the pursuit. See, she was my friend first, and we talked into the night many times about this crazy guy who just wouldn’t take no for an answer. He weaved his charm, and as my “story” says, received the best prize of all!

Consider yourself to be honored Sherry. At least these ” 7-word stories” all had 7 words in them. It doesn’t take much scrolling back to realize that it took her a while to grasp the significance of the number of words she should use! 🙂

It’s delicate as her story was 7-word, but the equals is a sign. Is a sign a word? The definition of a word = a single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing… could do it? 🙂

If you were to read the first line to a crowd, would you say, “Relentless pursuit an amazing, beautiful, priceless prize,” or would you say, “Relentless pursuit equals an amazing, beautiful, priceless prize”? 😉
I would think that you, of all people, would understand this. 😉

C’mon, you know it doesn’t take much brain power to decide to use a symbol for a word in order to artificially reduce the word count. 😉

Au contraire! It ta kes a fully functional brain to conclude that using an = symbol could well get by word counters. This is the same person who sent me a package and addressed it to herself! This is the same person who recently posted part 1 of a story…. but had no idea about part 2! Does that really sound like a cool and calculating brain?

That sounds like a Carolyn analogy! From my experience, and using your stopped clock comparison, I would suggest that she might be right once year… but not on our planet. As an aside… any idea when the mothership is coming back to pick her up?

Hmmm… I wonder if Jinx and Jangle BOTH hit their thumbs with a hammer if that = black and blue thumbs, which = a clumsy, crazy duo. Yeah I would say the = sign works quite well that way!

I was going to wait to reply until after I finished my blog post, but being that someone else has replied I will defend myself!
Just because you could turn the pan upside down and not have them fall out doesn’t mean that you needed a chisel! AND brownies came out of the oven not that long ago that are very soft and yummy!!
Apparently it must have been the fault of my “teacher” many years ago, as to why my brownies were hard. 🙂 BUT really I got the best end of the deal. You didn’t trust me to make anymore meals, soooo guess who did the cooking? 🙂 🙂 I was smart, eh?
And Colin as far as you believing that I made “concrete” brownies…. exactly how many meals of mine have you tasted? :p!
