At first I wanted to laugh – thinking that might be something you would do – literally – lol – but then I thought – hmmm – I think there is a deeper meaning here – and yes – we should be careful not to fall in the holes we dig!

I guess there is 3 meanings to it, since you mentioned that 1st one. 🙂 Like you said there is a deeper meaning that you can read into it. There also is a not so deep meaning, but perhaps a little warning to a certain 2 “comedians”. Yes, I am sure that you are at total loss as to who they may be 🙂
First Law of Holes is “When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”
Second Law of Holes: “When you stop digging, you are still in a hole.”
Third Law of Holes: ”Holes can be good.”
Fourth Law of Holes: “If your partner is digging a hole, don’t try to fill it in.
