A Surprise Hello!

Camus Love Quotes. QuotesGram by <a href="/quotesgram/" title="QuotesGram">@QuotesGram</a>

Greetings from the cornfields now, but recently came from the beautiful mountains! It was so peaceful there, while surrounded by beauty. More than the beauty of the mountains was the beauty of the love received when first arriving. Have not seen some of my husband’s dear relatives for 2 years and a lot has happened in those years.

As the quote above talks about the depth of winter, I have felt those depths in the past 2 years. His dear Aunt knew those depths and to feel the love in her arms when wrapped around me in a tight hug brought Β the warm, invincible feeling of summer to my heart.

We took about a 4 mile hike through the woods. The weather was perfect and the trees provided a lot of shade overhead as we walked under them. The path wasn’t steep, just a nice, relaxing hike as we listened to the sounds of the water flowing in the creek. The sound of running water is so soothing to me, I wish we had a creek in our back yard. My ever helpful nephew informed me that I could just turn on our water faucet at home and listen to the sound of the running water!! Ha Ha! Not exactly the same I told him.

This vacation has been filled with love and laughter so far and that is the perfect ingredients for maintaining an Invincible Summer inside you, even if winter is still going on! Hoping you all are feeling Summer inside your heart today!

  1. This is a beautiful post! I too love the sound of running water. I read this to my husband, and he said he would love nothing more than to build a waterfall in our backyard. We had a large elephant fountain in our yard at our last home. Maybe you could get a fountain for your yard! πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! OH when he is done building a waterfall in your backyard, send him over! πŸ™‚ A elephant fountain sounds great as well! LOVE elephants! Especially since my nephew gave me a very special elephant coin at Christmas. It was called a Mother’s Love, has a Mother elephant with her baby on it and a poem about how the Mother Elephant will do ANYTHING to protect her young! Was very poignant.

  2. So glad you had such a lovely vacation! I like the sound of running water too, and I have both a small fountain in my study (on top of the file cabinet) and an alarm clock that plays nature sounds, including a creek. πŸ™‚
