Small things can make big differences!!
Good Morning everyone! Looks like its going to be another beautiful Spring day here! Unfortunately tho its not going to last, talking about snow next week! This weather has been so UP and DOWN this winter! It can’t make up its mind.
Last night the memory of going to a Kelly Clarkson outdoor concert last summer came to my mind. She did such a wonderful job, so down to earth and sweet. It was a beautiful night under the stars. One thing that made the performance extra special was a original poem done by a young lady. How well do you know Slam Poetry? I had only heard of that style once, and when Kelly announced how a young lady was gonna share with the crowd doing Slam Poetry I was like, Hmmm… interesting to have that in the middle of a concert! Wasn’t really sure what to expect. My husband and I were in awe after she was done, I had goosebumps and was choked up. The crowd was on their feet at the end. Kelly knew what she was doing when she picked this lady! So sit back and listen to this inspiring message, may it start your Thursday off right! And feel free to share it; for it is a message we all need to hear!
Happy Thursday everyone! Friday is almost here 🙂
Good afternoon my friends! It is a BEAUTIFUL warm March day today! Now I have Spring fever! My thoughts are kinda everywhere today, so no particular theme today or author. A hodge podge of sorts 🙂 ENJOY! They may be more deep today, so the brain might have to work a little hard 🙂
A friend posted this song for me on FB and I have listened to it countless times! Today especially I have been playing it as another rock in the road to go over draws closer. Wanted to share it with all of you and to hopefully pass on encouragement if you could use this right now or for you to pass on to someone else who you know needs it. I promise you they will be touched by it! It may be hard for them to find the good, heavenly things right now, but for them to know that no matter what you will walk the rough road with them means so very much!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Beautiful isn’t it! This is The Great Barrier Reef in Austrailia! My nephew was snorkeling there this week and shared about it on Friday and that is how my mind thought of Friday’s 6 word story. We create barriers and miss beauty!
The word Barrier just stuck in my mind and I thought about how if my nephew would have been too nervous about snorkeling he would have missed out on so much beauty! If he would have been too fearful about going to work in Antarctica for 5 months, he would have missed out on all the beauty there. I’m proud of how he has taken advantage of great opportunities!
So many times in life we let fear hold us back and worry, and they can be very real fears and worries. There is times when fear holding you back can be a good thing depending what it is, but more often we have to be willing to let go and embrace! EMBRACE the beauty all around us in spite of our worries about tomorrow! Don’t let our worries hold us hostage from experiencing life! Trust me I am telling myself this as well as you all, probably even more me, for as I shared there is a lot going on right now. A lot that has turned my life topsy turvy, but one thing I know is that there are ALWAYS blessings there for me to grab onto! That is what helps you keep going! BE THANKFUL and EMBRACE ALL THE BEAUTY that is still out there!
Yes my nephew found Nemo, but not Dory, she was lost again 🙂 You gotta watch Finding Nemo if you are wondering what I am talking about. Great movie for all ages!
A glowing cuttlefish, it actually changes colors!
Just to clarify these aren’t pictures from my nephew, they are taken from Pinterest once again. He didn’t have a underwater camera with him, so he just embraced the Moment 🙂 and yes he really did find Nemo:)
We create barriers and miss beauty!
I usually let me stories speak for themselves, but will explain this one. 🙂 How often do we let barriers of fear, sadness, hatred, etc. buried in us take control and keep us from missing the beauty that is all around us! Have a GREAT WEEK-END and look for the beauty!
This morning my daughter sleepily came to the table for breakfast. She looked at the bowl and said, “What is this?”, I said, “Umm…it is sausage links cut up , what you asked for.” Her reply, “I asked for Frosted Flakes in a bowl not sausage links!” So was she dreaming of sausage and really did say sausage not meaning it, or did I hear wrong? The jury is out, but being that I don’t hear that well and I am NOT a morning person it possibly could have been me 🙂 But really Frosted Flakes and Sausage links don’t sound at all alike! I did understand the words in a bowl tho 🙂
After chuckling about this again later this morning the thought hit me of how many times we say things we don’t mean. Tell me how many times have you said, “I’m fine.” when feeling fine is the furthest thing from the truth! You aren’t fine, you just don’t want to talk about it now. And besides you don’t think the grocery cashier really wants to hear a detailed description of your life in response to her , “How are you?” question. Or the little kid who doesn’t want to nap. “Are you tired?” “NO”, is their response as they are rubbing their eyes and doing their best to prove to you that they really aren’t tired! There are other questions people can say No to and just by their tone of voice, you can tell its not really a No, but they sure want you to believe it! Or the times when you ask a question and there is silence and you understand exactly what the person is saying; even tho they are not saying a word. Sometimes the silence speaks so much louder.
Can you think of times you have said opposite of what you meant? What about the time someone asks you if they can help carry your bags for you and your reply is , “No Thanks!” as you struggle with the weight. You wish they would have just said, “Here let me help you,” instead of asking 🙂 Yes, I remember a situation years ago, where I was coming out of the store and someone mentioned to me how awfully heavy those bags must be and if I needed help. Now if that would have been all they said, I would have let them. BUT they added the words , “for someone so small like you!” You know how certain words just kick in your adrenaline. Those did 🙂
So that is my deep pondering for the day, feel free to share your experiences below with words you may have said when meaning the opposite!
Good Morning! Today’s thoughts don’t have a theme really, just that they all touched my heart and I hope they speak to your heart! Have a great day!!!!!!!!!
