The Dance

I am tired of this dance, don’t want to be on the floor.                                                                                                                      Tired of the dance between FEAR and HOPE!                                                                                                                                Fear takes the lead more then I like, but HOPE is close by its side and is how I cope!

The music can be so frightening and almost makes you freeze in your spot, afraid to take a step.                                                 The eerie music plays and you wonder how you can go on.                                                                                         About that time, is when HOPE decides that FEAR is a very bad partner!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The music picks up its tempo and HOPE takes the lead.                                                                                                                 With HOPE in the lead a new partner comes out on the floor.                                                                                                          COURAGE is its name! It dances with HOPE amidst FEAR still lurking around the dance floor;                                                    trying to find a way to get back in.

Yes, I am tired of this dance, but with HOPE and COURAGE I will continue as long as the music plays.                                         I don’t have control of whether I dance or not, its a dance I gotta do.                                                                                              But I can choose my partner and FEAR, I don’t choose you!!!

  5. There’s a quote from one of my favorite book series – Hope strengthens, fear kills. And it’s always our choice to keep going or lie down. I found that to be such a radical thought that it’s really stuck with me through the years. It is a delicate dance between the two, but you do get to choose. I think this post is a lovely way of sharing that encouragement! Thank you for sharing 🙂

    • That quote is so true! Can I ask what book series that is from? You are right we do get to choose! So glad you found the post encouraging, you are welcome for it! Writing is my therapy!
